Review of Novotel Spa and Resort, Candolim, Goa (Stay: April 3-6, 2024) Rating: ⭐⭐ (2/5) My recent stay at the Novotel Spa and Resort in Candolim, Goa, was far from the relaxing getaway I had anticipated. My family and I encountered a series of disappointments that marred our experience right from the beginning. Accommodation Mismanagement: Despite booking two rooms well in advance with a request for them to be close to each other, we were initially assigned rooms on different floors. This oversight required additional arrangements to rectify, causing an unnecessary inconvenience. Dining Disappointment: Our first meal at the resort's restaurant on April 3 was a frustrating experience. The staff, particularly Shailendra, lacked professionalism in their service. Recommendations for food were not only poorly made but resulted in an excessive wait time exceeding an hour. The situation escalated when Mr. Prasanjit, presumably the manager, approached us with a dismissive inquiry about whether we were "waiting for something," completely oblivious to the delay we were experiencing. Unprofessional Staff: The general attitude of the staff, both at the restaurant and the swimming pool area, was noticeably unprofessional. The conduct and communication skills of the personnel were disappointing. A particularly concerning observation was the apparent discrimination in treatment between Indian and foreign tourists, especially noticeable in how different types of towels were distributed at the pool. Request for Improvement: It is imperative for the management of Novotel to address these issues seriously. The quality of service should not only be a priority at the front desk but should be consistent throughout all areas of the hotel, under the supervision of trained and professional staff. Conclusion: Our stay at Novotel Spa and Resort in Candolim was undermined by a series of service failures and unprofessional conduct by the staff. While the physical amenities of the resort may meet expectations, the quality of service profoundly impacts the overall experience. I hope that the management will take these concerns seriously and implement necessary improvements to better serve their guests in the future.

I visited Novotel resort n spa Candolim with my 6 month old baby in April 2024 and I had the worst experience on the last day of my stay.. since I had a flight to catch n overall travel time was 6 hour plus I decided to keep the expressed milk in the hotel deep freezer.. I called the guest service and they sent a very amateur boy to do the course… I specifically mentioned “ es bottle me milk hai esko sidha Rakho milk girna nahi chahea n handled him bottle of 200ml expressed milk n ice packs which was gonna be of use while travelling.. later after few hours when I was about to check out I called the guest service line again to give me back the bottle of milk n the ice pack.. another boy comes n hands me the ice pack n empty milk bottle n when I confronted him asking where’s the milk in the bottle he had no answer to it.. this was my horrible experience at Novotel.. 80% of the staff working there are amateur kids who don’t know how what’s are etiquette, hospitality.. later the manager tell me usko laga milk kharab ho Gaya hai esiliye usne phek Diya.. without tell me they threw all the 200 ml pumped milk.. all the new moms out there would know the pinch of 200ml pumped milk to be thrown away.. I would just say think all the new mom travelling with their infant please think 1000 times before going visiting here don’t know what horrible experience would u get here.. also the Accor group should think before adding these kind of Hotels in their group if they wish to maintain their standards..

Overall stay and food is amazing at Novotel. And the best part is the staff is so humble and helpful I would like to thanks staff members Mr Vaibhav, Mr Shailendra, Simran, shubhadra,Mr Sanjib who served best to make our stay wonderful. Best resort I must say.

It’s my second time here yet again had a wonderful experience. Lovely property and the staff are their assets. Susan it was really nice to meet again yet again a wonderful experience.food was amazing lovely prestige’ suite rooms for family. Will visit again soon

The staff over there was very helpful specially Mandavi. They were sweet and friendly. They helped to provide us cab at a cheaper rate and also provided free cab to the hospital when we fell sick and had to run to the hospital. They provided food for the baby and helped us in everything.
