Adults only. Don’t bring kids.

If you have children avoid this place like the plague. The family rooms overlook a pool that used to be a family pool but has been changed to “adults only” with a tequila bar. Instead you have to catch a shuttle bus from your family room to the other side of the resort to take your kids for a swim. Kids club consists of a sterile room where they can paint and draw but that’s about it. No fun activities like most hotels would have for children. My kids went once and then never wanted to go again. There are no games rooms or any activities at all for children. In my opinion they should just make the whole hotel adults only and be done with it. There are basically 2 dinner restaurants, an Italian and a Thai restaurant. Definitely not enough for a hotel that is positioned in such a remote location on the island. There are plenty of tequila bars, wine bars and various other bars if that’s your thing. In my opinion, axe some of these bars and replace with other dining options. I could be wrong but my opinion is most people enjoy a few cocktails and beers around the pool, but very few people are interested in dedicated tequila and wine bars. In summary if you don’t have kids and drinking alcohol is what you love best on holiday, then this place is for you. If you do have kids or enjoy a wide range of dining options avoid this one.

Without doubt a very good location on the headland and not too far from the airport. The spa, swimming pool and lobby areas were all very good. Great views of the beach and sunset and good access down to the beach. The customer facing staff we had contact with were all very good, sadly, those on the other end of the phone not so. We had to use the buggy service when we wanted to get to and from where we stayed which was a pity. It would've been nice to just walk but sadly this wasn't really feasible due to the slopes and distance from the main building. Some slopes looked to be about 45' and those little buggies did a very good job. The drop off zone also got pretty chaotic at times with people arriving and leaving in buggies and others arriving and leaving in taxis, all at the same time. The food at breakfast, and in the evenings, was always excellent. Incredible choice and standard at breakfast enjoyed with great views of the sea although breakfast time could get very noisy at times due to the number of guests having breakfast at the same time. A nice touch was the plentiful supply of drinking water. We had plenty in the room, there were drinking water stations dotted around the hotel and there were guys walking round dispensing it too. I was a bit surprised by the open nature of the bathroom with the toilet, washbasin, shower and bath all completely separate from each other. I would recommend the installation of a soft close toilet seat, they aren't that expensive. Would I stay here again? Yes, our 4 night stay wasn't long enough.

The best experience of staying in Phuket

This is my third stay here, and my feelings have never changed. Mae Mae and Sophia, the welcoming team, calmly provide thorough information about the hotel. The team at ‘Element Restaurant’ is so energetic and helpful. The breakfast offers a wide variety, including Thai, Western, and Continental options. The beach is so clean and calm. If you want to rest peacefully, Naithon Beach is the best choice for a serene rest. And of course, Mr. Brett, Mr. Albert, and Mr. Urs, the management team, always support our needs smoothly throughout the stay, making this moment the best experience of my life. SDDVP Couples - Opinia zatwierdzona w TripAdvisor

One of the best luxury resorts in South East Asia. Beautifully situated with impressive beach and sea panorama. Facilities and spa have highest standard, same is applicable for cleanness and hygiene. Restaurants (Thai and Italian) bring best dishes on the table, very tasteful and cooked with fresh ingredients. Hotel manager (Albert) and deputy (Urs) are running a tight show with in the end an experienced hotel team, truly client oriented with intrinsic friendly, helpful and service centric mentality. All enjoyed services and interactions exceeded expectations, making us to label this hotel as a true luxury resort. Our compliments again for the management and whole team ! An experience we will cherish forever. Sonia and David de Vet, 13-04-2024

A lovely resort with disappointing staff

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the gorgeous resort until an unpleasant incident on our final day left a bad taste in our mouths. While eating breakfast in the restaurant, our six-month-old daughter decided she needed her own breakfast. My wife hurriedly turned away from the general dining area and did her best to discretely breastfeed our baby, as we had done in every hotel and restaurant we'd been in during our time in Thailand. Much to our frustration (and my anger), the blundering head of hospitality, who had come to collect dishes from our table, apparently had never seen a woman breastfeeding before. After recovering from the shock, he stuttered out a weak "you breastfeeding in public is making our female Thai staff uncomfortable", he suggested my wife take our daughter out into the 36C heat to breastfeed or the glass-walled, crowded business centre. When my wife and I pointed out that neither of these options was any more private than the restaurant, he suggested we put a napkin on our daughter's head. Of course, our daughter was not going to tolerate a heavy napkin on her head in the poorly air-conditioned restaurant, and I told him as much. I thought that was the end of it, but when I returned with my daughter from a quick walk outside, I found my wife in tears at our table. Apparently, this milquetoast individual had decided he hadn't mansplained breastfeeding enough and had come back for a second bite at the cherry. After I publically dressed him down for his ignorance and idiocy, my tearful wife and I packed our belongings as we were checking out. While Brett from management did apologize for his employee's blunder, he also doubled down on the "Thai people don't like breastfeeding" excuse. Given that I didn't see a single Thai guest at the Pullman, I can only assume his staff needs better training. This is the 21st century, and if they're going to be working in hospitality, they'll need to accept that their guests may not share their views. Ultimately, the Pullman was a lovely property with great rooms and delicious food, but we were left thoroughly disappointed in the management's response. Sitting out in the sun or in a glass-walled business centre is not a valid alternative, nor is the suggestion that my wife take the shuttle back to our room to breastfeed our daughter. A napkin (or cheesecloth) draped over her head is also not an option. If Pullman properties are going to adhere to draconic views on breastfeeding, they either need to tell guests ahead of time or, better yet, set up breastfeeding spaces that aren't in the blistering sun. My wife and I have travelled to multiple countries in the Middle East, and we're no strangers to exercising discretion when breastfeeding, but these places have spaces set aside for breastfeeding.

Dear cwbush83, We are super sorry to know it was a great stay until the unfortunate situation with your wife & child - having kids myself and raising them in Thailand I totally appreciate you showing support for your family in this matter. As I mentioned to you, we got it wrong and we accept our shortcomings in this matter - it has nothing to do with Pullman brands stance on breastfeeding rather a Manager wanting to support his team's feelings and not putting himself in the guest's shoes. The first time is a lesson the second time is a mistake - we have learnt our lesson, purchased some breathable shawls and trained the team in how to approach our future mothers - thank you for helping us on our journey to create a resort "Guests Love" Kind Regards Brett Wilson General Manager
