Good location for Disney

We stayed for four nights to visit Disney. We arrived early afternoon and were checked straight in with no issues. We were given a slightly larger apartment than we had booked, which had a bedroom then living room with kitchenette and two sofa beds. We had a microwave, hob, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, crockery etc so you could easily make food in the room if you wanted. I would recommend taking an extension lead if you use hair appliances etc as mirrors weren’t necessarily near sockets. The room and corridor areas were dates and a bit tired but there was work going on while we there and signs up saying they were carrying out improvement works. The room was clean and we had plenty of clean towels and bedding (the towels and bedding looked new). We felt for the price it was good value for money as we were really only using it as a base. We used the pool on the first night and the changing rooms and pool area were clean and well maintained. There are lockers in the changing rooms that you enter a code to lock and you can bring your towels down from the room. The location is great for Disney. You could walk from the hotel to the parks in around 20 minutes or the shuttle bus takes about 5 minutes. There are times during the day that the shuttles don’t run so check the times at reception, they do run later than park closing though so you can use them to get back. When you leave the hotel, cross the road, turn left, cross the road and you’ll see the bus stop that the shuttle stops at. Coming back the shuttle leaves the little bus station near 5 Guys in the village (stand F) which is seperate to the on site bus at station. Val d’Europe is just next door to the hotel, turn left and cross the road and you’ll see the entrance to the food court area. There are a couple of super markets at the other end of the shopping centre. There’s also a Primark that has a Disney section if you want somewhere to pick up clothing etc. There is also a small shop area in the hotel that sells packs of mini essentials like shower gel etc and drinks, snacks and a few ready meals. The staff we encountered were all very polite and helpful. We were worried before we arrived as we had read some negative reviews but we would stay again as it was a good location for the parks, clean and good value for the price.

We booked one night so that we could travel to France, stay the night and wake up next to Disneyland Paris where we were staying on site. I planned the travel so that we could check in at 3pm, have a swim and some dinner, and get a good night’s sleep. On arrival I used the intercom to ask to park underground (costs €10, payable at reception and they give you a hanger to go back down and put in the car). The car park is TIGHT. You can see all the scrapes on the wall. If you’re not a confident driver, don’t do it! Luckily we were ok. We went up the lift from the car park to check in at reception, by this time it was gone 3pm, maybe about 3.30/3.40. The man at reception said our room wasn’t ready, which I was really surprised about. He said our room is a large apartment for 9-10 people hence why it wasn’t ready. This to me was an awful excuse - if you’re expecting guests at a certain time, you prepare the room. We were tired from travelling, we wanted to relax desperately, but were told to wait in reception. One of the cleaning ladies walked past us and glared at me as if I was an inconvenience. We didn’t get to use the pool thanks to the late check in so cannot comment on the facilities. After going back up to reception twice to ask after our room, we were finally offered drinks. Not for the children mind you, just the adults. I asked for two coffees and a tea. All of the drinks were undrinkable. Finally our room was ready. I was disappointed to see the state of the rooms. They very much need updating. The lighting was poor. We went to reception to use the on site ordering, where you order from a local takeaway and they deliver to the hotel. The machine worked up until the payment window, then wouldn’t work for us or another family. We ended up using a takeaway delivery site. Personally I wouldn’t stay here again, not even for one night. If you are headed to Disneyland Paris, this hotel just doesn’t give you the same sense of magic. Customers are treated like annoyances. Every request is too much work. There’s little service with a smile. Reception is chaotic.

I booked this hotel to have a pleasant stay near disney and the shopping mall. Because of work, I need to amend my booking from 3 days to 2 days. The reservation is clearly stating the rates per day and the applied 20% discount promotion for a 2 day stay and more. Since I am well within the requirements, I should pay the rates as confirmed in the booking for the days I will be staying. But HELL NO. The reception, Sylvanie, said I need pay the NO PROMOTION rate. I have never experienced this with any other Accor hotel for amending stays in the past. This hotel does not appreciate you as a guest, and make rules of their own while the contract says clearly the rates per day. Be warned, stay away from this Adagio hotel.

Nothing works in this hotel. Nothing. We hated it. Ruined our Disneyland experience.

Avoid. Nothing works. Chargers useless in rooms. Dirty carpet. Not worth the money we spent on it. We are bitterly disappointed. And the staff couldn’t care less. They actually hate people. Please remove from a proper Disneyland resort option. Or do something to improve.

REVIEW CONTAINS INFO ON TRANSPORT! Scroll to the bottom - you'll need it. Transport is easy when you know what you're doing and a stressful nightmare when you don't. We were a little nervous about staying here as some of the views were not great, but (other than the initial transport - see below), our experience of the hotel was great! The room was clean, comfortable and cosy. It's true that a few things were a little scuffed, but I didn't pay for a hotel room - I paid for an apartment! You should expect apartment style properties to be a little different than a typical hotel room. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, and everything was comfortable. 100% would stay there again. Be warned that the corridors look a bit dodgy and I did wonder where I was staying for a moment, but the actual apartment was great. Transport is NOT well explained, at ALL. Not sure if this is the hotel's fault, so I'm not featuring it in the review rating. Upon arrival to Marne-La-Vallée, it does not explain how to get to the Adagio at all. There's also two Adagios - this is NOT the Adagio Serris! Coming out of the train station you'll eventually figure out that you need to get to "Gare Sud", a section of the bus station that's on the other side of Disney Village, but I couldn't find a way to get there without going through park security (which, by the way, you can do without a ticket!). I strongly recommend that if you're getting into Marne-La-Vallée station, you just take a taxi to the hotel. As of March 2024, it was a flat 20 Euro fee from the taxi rank outside the train station. Be aware that even if you get to the bus station, the shuttle doesn't run in the middle of the day and the times aren't signposted - you only get the times for the shuttle once you get to the hotel. Easier to just take the taxi to get there. I just pulled up the address on my reservation and showed it to the taxi driver. Once you're at the hotel and you want to get back to Disneyland, it's easier but again not well signposted. Come out of the main doors of the hotel, turn left, and walk forward. You will come to a sort of cross roads. I've added a circle around the photo to show where the bus stop is. It is NOT the bus stop that says "Marne-La-Vallée" on it! It's the one on the other side of the road that says "Gare de Val D'Europe". As of March 2024, we were waiting for a plain white bus with no markings on it. It was a two-length bus. The numbered buses (e.g. 34) are local buses and are not what you're looking for.
