solicitous, gassed, polite We loved our stay and I am coming back!!! The absolute best hotel I been to yet and I have been to very nice once in my short life time. Also as a black person I felt welcomed. It’s not often it happens. 10/10 ! Recommend

The staff are extremely helpful and understand the importance of customer service , I particular the front of house team . There is some room for improvement in regard to the hotel itself. Bathroom has been poorly designed, no option to hang up towels, shower door is not constructed to close to avoid the bathroom floor being flooded after a shower. Bathroom is extremely small if I compare this to other hotels . Breakfast needs a lot to be desired for limited selection on food options, pastry & bread extremely poor selection and it seems that even though breakfast is until 11 am , nothing is being replenished after 10.30 am . Whilst staff are very accommodating the points raised above do not warrant to be in the hotel category of “ Luxury “ .

It was a business trip from the UK to Germany arranged by the employer. During the check-in process the hotel requested 300 euros as a deposit. A personal debit card was charged in UK currency. During the check out they haven't refunded money, nor they did later after a number of emails. The UK bank has been informed and a chargeback claim procedure has started. Money was refunded by the bank. Now the bank advised that this hotel has tried to charge the account once again. If you don't want to lose your money for no reason, avoid it at all costs. Hotel communication was extremely poor and rare, and took ages to receive very vague responses. One star is a way too much for such a horrendous experience.

Top 5 star hotel. The service was impeccable. The staff at the breakfast area are super efficient. The hotel looks lovely. Grand with a lot of area to walk. The rooms are so good. The bed is so soft you can sleep like a baby. The rain shower is very powerful too. The water gets very hot so have to be careful.

Soundproofing not the best for a 5 star hotel

Unfortunately first I have to mention few cons, because these should not appear in a 5 star rated hotel, and soundproofing is what I respect as a guest and it’s what I am ready to pay for. -Soundproofing in room very poor. You can actually hear steps impact sound from another room next to yours. Floor in a room’s corridor and toilet/bathroom is made of some kind stone material. (Floor very cold by the way, no heating available). -You can even hear when guest in neighbour room uses his key card (click sound), not to mention hugely banging door. -If someone plays music you can hear bass echoing to your room. (Bang&Olufsen’s soundsystem available in room) I didn’t mind train station announcements, which you can clearly hear to room (7 floor), but very annoying is when you hear someone else’s steps from another room. No announcements at night. Shower drain sometimes makes an awfully loud noise, which scares you. Somekind of bubbling happening. Carpet needs refurbishing, few permanent stain marks. Rooms are a bit outdated (beds, closets etc..) There could be a better lighting system i a room, a bit too dark. Pros: -Excellent location next to Hauptbahnhof -Kind and helpful staff -Bath amenities (Diptyque) luxury -Rooms design nice -View nice from 7th floor -Level of cleaning very good -Nespresso machine a huge plus (even a too few capsules)
