Terrible experience, very outdated building, poor quality and pricey breakfast. Rooms full of dust (I could not sleep the night). Very rude staff, one of them even said ‘french only’ as she did not speak English. Horrible experience! Choose something better, with proper hospitality services and decent rooms/facilities. I think there are some Riad in the medina of Essaouria, I would go for a good one of them.

Superb staff in this hotel make the holiday experience so worthwhile. Across every area the staff work so hard. This hotel is close to the city Medina so all the restaurants and shops are easily accessible. The rooms are large and well equipped. As Essaouira becomes more popular, the bathroom area needs to be updated to reflect a more modern clientele. The pool area and hydro therapy areas are excellent. Breakfast is plentiful, with the option to eat outside. Good restaurant belonging to the hotel is by the beach. We will certainly return to this hotel.

It's the small details and care that matters ..l just popped in at midnight as lwas cycling with low blood sugar . I was in bad condition and the lady at front desk rushed to help me with kindness and a smile she ran and got me a coca cola and some sweets .l rested at lobby for some time and we had a little chat ..thank Madam kenza you saved my life ..this is hospitality that goes beyond margins and profits Ex accor executive chef M.fawzi al barazi

It was a real pleasure to be warmly welcomed at Le Medina ambience of an era gone by. The reception desk especially Said are a real credit to the hotel and the industry require more people with his desire to help guests enjoy their stay. There are some cons which I guess are challenges facing the hospitality industry . The breakfast did not feel lavish or had the luxury edge we had experienced previously. The food did not seems warm or replenished after finishing. These are improvements which could be made easily to ensure a more quality experience for guests. A shout out for Fatima as well in the dining room thank you for making my coffee just the way I like it.

My wife and I have just enjoyed a perfect week at this rather marvelous hotel. All aspects met and/ or exceeded our expectations for a quick week away escape from a miserable British winter. Key highlights included wonderful food on the beach (Tnks Ahmour & Yanousse) and superb help from reception from a friendly, kind and very knowledgeable Said. (Many thanks Said!) This is our 2nd stay at this hotel and we can hardly wait for our next visit to Essaouira and our certain further reservation at the Medina Sofitel. Thank you all and see you next time!
