Poor Value at almost £150 per night plus a daily charge for car parking. Restaurant food only modest and room tired. Very helpful staff. Being. Disabled I was in need of assistance on occasions which was readily given. I would like to thank the breakfast waitresses Asha and Miranda in particular who went out of their way to ensure I could cope with the buffet breakfasts . They were fantastic.

Good place to hold a meeting.great size car park which was free for people attending meeting. The room had all the relevant equipment. Staff were attentive. Food was ok, could be better. Rooms need updating especially the bathrooms and doors as very noisy

Room clean spacious. Friendly check in. This is where the positives end. Went for food in the restaurant 55 mins for a main is unacceptable. Told due to lot of orders. Rubbish they were not busy. Restaurant staff did not understand. Need to up your game novotel

Very poor room quality

Reception and bar area were modern and well presented. Thats where the best experience ended. The room I was allocated (100) was very tired and of poor quality, the decor was in need of updating along with the furnishings including the bathroom. All the lights didn’t work, and the fridge smelt of off cheese and also didn’t work, the usb ports also didn’t work. Very bad experience on the 2 night stay, if my work wasn’t paying I would have complained and requested to be moved to another room. I wasn’t even given the opportunity on checking out, as ‘I hope you enjoyed your stay’ wasn’t asked, perhaps it was because the receptionist didn’t want to hear bad feedback. Much better hotels to stay in, the only other plus points was its distance from the train station and the WiFi quality which was very good. Breakfast was Ok but not good.

No respect for your boundaries.

I'm literally so angry I have tears of rage, the hotel cleaning staff have no respect for your boundaries what so ever. They feel it's okay to enter your room without your presence and change, rearrange, touch and go through your personal belongings. I came back to the room to find almost every single item had been touched and I didn't request this. I requested no cleaning on this day. While I really appreciate the job that was done to tidy the room. It was something I could manage to do for myself in my own time. I just didn't request this. I do not appreciate having my wishes violated and absolutely no respect shown for my choices. Adding insults to injuries is the manager, her response to my complaint that my things had been touched and rearranged in my room and I hadn't requested any cleaning nor for anyone to be in my room without my been there, was, oh we don't know how you left the room. Gaslighting me into thinking nothing was wrong and her cleaner didn't violate the hotels policy. Next was, oh well if you want to live in a dirty room. The room was not dirty, untidiness is not an invitation to enter my private quarters and touch and handle my items without my say so or approval. I don't know what germs this cleaner may have on her hands and she's been all through my private and personal belongings. She could have covid or anything, and they don't even wear rubber gloves while they are cleaning. I've never felt so offended and completely violated. Point Blank It's out of order!. Even the hotels receptionist agreed it was wrong, it wasn't right. It was a dirty, nosey, disgusting thing to do on somebody and I'm sure they wouldn't like it if the same happened to them while having a stay at a hotel. You put the label on the door, asking for your room not to be entered or cleaned and they just go right the way ahead and ignore it. Trust is broken and your wishes are violated. Sighting it's the hotels policy to check on the welfare of their guests, if the label is left on the door handle for a number of consecutive days. Yes, but its not to enter their room without their consent and touch and handle their personal belongings. I'm totally disgusted and I feel so uncomfortable. Adding to this, there's an issue with their cook over cooking and burning food items and putting out stale products for consumption. Its complacency and immature behaviour. Upon complaining, they changed the stale breakfast item and my meal, but things were not done as advertised. Tomatoe salad, instead of grilled tomatoes with salad. Less mushrooms instead of your paying for more mushrooms. Then there's the time delay in you receiving your food and not even a complimentary drink to apologise for the circumstances and the delay they left you with. The food is expensive and the quality is not alwsys at its best. To have anything changed in the room if it's not working, they take days and days and when you try to remind them they get huffy with you, like you are disturbing them. It's really bad. But in a NUTSHELL I would NEVER stay here again because there is no respect, the food quality and quantity doesn't hold value and is over priced and some of the rooms need more attention, to check items work, are clean and functional.
