My sister and I stayed at the Novotel hotel between 4th – 10th March. We were both disappointed with the accommodation. The bathroom was tired and we could tell that any cracks that had occurred in the grout and tiling had just been patched in, making the room look worn and in need of an update (the shower itself needed an updated, there was no detachable shower head and with the bath being non-slip, we were both cautious when we went for a wash in case of a slip). We had left the card on our room doorknob outside to indicate that we wanted our room cleaned. We had seen that the floor we were in had been serviced multiple times a day so we were sure we would come back to a clean room. We got back after being out for 6 hours to find that our room hadn’t been cleaned. We left our room to be cleaned another day when we were out and came back to our room not clean either. As a result, we had to go down to reception to ask for amenities we had run out of. When we got to the hotel room and logged onto the WIFI, we were surprised to find that we had to pay for WIFI. There was no other option. It stated we had to pay $10 a day. After a look on the website, we could see that the amenities the hotel offers is that they offer free WIFI. We rang reception to inquire about this and were told that since we are members the Accor group, the amount would be wiped from our accent once we left. I feel that with a much often used tool such as WIFI, it should be stated on the website and the other websites that are advertising this hotel, so others are aware of this. When we went down the hotel breakfast, we found that the food was cold, lukewarm at best. This was a disappointment to us as the hotel breakfast is one of the parts of the trip we looked forward to. As a result, we choice not to have some breakfast items as the hot food was not hot at all. We thought this was a timing issue so we got up right when breakfast was starting, but found the same issue.

It may not be a 5 star hotel , but the location , food , room comfort , lobby views and above all : great care by the whole Team. Everyone cares in this hotel including Tel Operator York who finds solutions for everything , Jamie F&B , And above ALL : Mattia Dolora Front Office.

Staff were great and ideal position although for the price paid for a room, no breakfast continental or other was included, fridge not working, no special coffee maker in the room just a kettle, and no shower gel in the bottle fastened to the bathroom wall. After I mentioned it to staff they sorted it but you would think for a rate of $460 a night you wouldn’t have to mention anything and that everything would be perfectly working and ready for guests to have a relaxing business stay.

My stay for two nights. The team were amazing, from the moment I stepped in the beautifully outfitted lobby. On the fast track desk the ladies were truly delightful and cheerful. I was very early and I asked to sit at the closed restaurant, and tge team were very willing to help me so I could work. Again the lobby and restaurant were amazing with modern styles. When my room was ready I recieved a call. Picked up my little happy gifts (they ALWAYS make me happy) and one reason I stay as an Accor member. The room was a very comfortable large room, including everything I needed. The bathroom was the only let down. Amazingly clean, but tired, old fasiohed bath, with a climb in and trip over shower. Then the walk to the convention centre!!!! OMG what a shambles. Through the car park, multiple people lost and asking me which way!!!

Stayed here only for a night, loved the location. It’s right on the Darling Harbour, we enjoyed a late night walk on the bridge. The location was so good, that during the day we explored so many things by foot. About the hotel & amenities - We paid a little extra and got the room upgraded to the suite room, which was very spacious for us (especially with a 10 year old). We got a living & dining space along with the separate bedroom , lot of closets, a bathtub in the bathroom. We invited friends over in the evening and took them for dinner in the restaurant. The closing time was 9:30 PM, so we managed our timings and were there by 9:25. But the kitchen was already closed at 9 PM and they did not take any order. So, we all got disappointed and went to the room, ordered from the In-room dining menu (very limited options) which was very inconvenient. The information could have been given clearly, that the “kitchen closes at 9 PM”, rather than the “Restaurant closes at 9:30 PM” The next morning, we skipped the buffet, had A-la-carte at The Ternary (the same one which got closed early last night). During our 1 day stay, we had all major 3 meals here, food is amazing. Otherwise, our stay, location, hotel ambiance, staff & amenities were all very good.
