Booked this on the day I wanted to stay as I'd got a last minute ticket to see Take That at the arena. I usually stay at the Premier Inn or the Travelodge and to be honest I didn't know this place existed. Everywhere else was sold out and the fact that this wasn't made me a little dubious. I needn't have worried. This was a perfect place to stay for the arena, it was literally next to to the arena car park, which was great for getting to the show, but even better afterwards! I saw on Google maps that the car park was small (only 44 spaces) so I went early and was pleased I did as they filled up quickly. Even though I was early I was able to check in (about 2pm). A lot of other people seemed surprised at the car park charge. This is clear on the website and as you actually enter the car park, so I don't know why people were surprised. Check in staff, and every member of staff I encountered was lovely. They met my request not to be on the ground floor which was perfect. The room was as you'd expect for a 2 star hotel. I likened it to a student room really. The shower was just a glass door off the main room, and the toilet was just behind a door. The sink was within the main room. There was a lot of chipped paint and woodwork, but again, that's what I'd expect for 2 stars. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. I'd now make this my first choice when going to the arena.

Enjoyable stay. The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly to the point where even the most antisocial of people like me could chat to them for ages. I have read about past reviews regarding extra charges for the parking. Yes that is true it is £7 a night but this was extremely clear to see for me before booking. I would happily stay here again.

Although rooms small, for 38 quid a night it was clean . No kettle but on asking they provided one which was great as I always take milk and t.bags . One pillow but upon asking they provided me with 2 . The only complaint, them charging 7 quid a night to park. I parked at the side of the hotel. As a resident you'd expect free parking. Overall it does what it says for a budget hotel . Staff were really helpful. For those moaning,pay a bit extra if your expectations are higher.

Hidden charges the hotel it’s self was nice good staff and very helpful the room I stayed in was nice clean & tidy but there our hidden charges & I think that’s not fair my work we’re paying so didn’t matter to me but the young couple who I over heard questioning there bill & room rate were very upset so I looked deeper and yes there definitely is hidden charges

if i was giving a review about the staff it would be five star, they were lovely. the rooms were clean and though extremely small ok for a one night stay. i did have to ask for a kettle and tea making materials when as far as i am concerned it is a 'given' in all other hotels i have stayed in. that is the real reason for the three stars, this is a motel basically, it is not a holiday hotel for more than a couple of nights, therefore you would expect to turn up in a car and that car to have parking - yes it does but it is another £7 per night for the car to stay at the hotel. across the road a premier inn with free parking - you need to read the small print as that £7 is there but as any other standard hotel i have stayed at includes it you might easily miss it. making the price for a night's stay not such a bargain. the breakfast was modestly boring, edible but unimaginative. before booking add the cost of parking in and you might find others are cheaper.
