There are only 2 plus points for this hotel - location and price. Even so, given the overall experience, it should be priced lower. Hotel is just across Casa Port Station; convenient if you have train arriving and departing there. The hotel lobby and reception is nicely decorated but as they say, superficial beauty because there is absolutely zero customer service and no one even said 'Welcome'. Upon my early arrival, I was told I have to wait till 12pm to check in. When I returned to check-in, one staff was attending to another guest while a 2nd staff was busy doing his work while I was clearly standing and waiting to be attended to. The 2nd staff eventually attended to me and handed me a form to fill up my guest details after which he told me to pay 15Dh city tax. The room key card didn't work initially so I had to return to the reception. Now the room: it is absolutely bare and clearly not maintained. While it was clean, the bathroom door cannot close properly, there are ZERO hooks, hanger or anything in the toilet where you can hang your clothes and towels, no toiletries except for hand soap and shower soap (for which the bottle was broken). No bottled water, no cups, no kettle, no coffee or tea in the room. It was probably the worst Ibis I have stayed at. Thankfully I was there for one night only so really, it is good for one night only if you don't want to pay for anything more expensive.

AC not working

Checked in and it wasn’t disclosed that the ac was not operating. When inside room tried to adjust the temperature without success. Called front desk to get no answer so I went back down only to be told that it wasn’t working. When asked why this wasn’t told to us 5 minutes ago when we checked in he said he didn’t know. But that wasn’t true because other guests were now in the lobby asking if there was an update on the ac repair. I then said I thought you didn’t know and advised that we are relocating to the Sofitel next door because their ac is working. He initially stated we could not get a refund because we checked in…. Huh we didn’t know we were checking into a hotel without ac sir.

Not the best Ibis

A Families - Confirmed reviews ALL

To be honest, there are better Ibis hotels! Location is perfect but room is not clean, bathroom smells, walls and common parts are plenty of scratches. A pretty common thing in Morocco. The worst, in my opinion, is breakfast. Knowing Morocco pretty well, I can’t explain myself why there are no pure orange juice, no fruits, no yogurts, no typical bread. You will only find local crepes (which are good), untasty baguette with cheap strawberry jam. No chicken ham, no cheese… everywhere else in the world these products are made available. In the meantime, breakfast price do not change, so I do believe there is something to be done to get up to Ibis standards.
