Nice hotel, clean, staff are friendly. There's no traditional reception so just look for the person sat near the front door on the long table. The rooms were comfy, only negative was view wasn't great and air con isn't very good. It's clean and does the job. As you come out of the main front doors, turn left, cross the road and head for the road where there's a Condis at the end. Walk down that road and there are plenty of really good, very reasonable restaurants. Food was delicious in a couple of these little places and actually really cheap. We spent 48 euros feeding 4 of us with drinks. You can't complain! There's also a bakery there where you can sit in for breakfast...food is fabulous. The train station is only a five min walk, takes you into the centre. Great location, would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

We were very impressed with the Novotel Cornella when travelling as a family of 4. The hotel was modern and clean and there is a small pool outside for the warmer months. The hotel offers a decent breakfast with plenty of options for all- and my favourite bit- freshly squeezed juice. It is a bit pricey- 18E per person- but kids eat free which worked well for us. There are also a few cafes on the walk to the train station which we visited and would recommend for a traditional start to the day! The hotel room was clean- the shower was a little leaky- and the pillows weren't the best- but all in all no complaints! The hotel is situated within easy reach of the airport- quick 10 minute taxi journey. However, it does take some navigating to get into the city. We used the train to get in (a 5 minute walk to the station) and then used the 'sightseeing bus' to navigate the city. We also used the metro and taxis infrequently.

The directorship of this hotel has seemingly spent its entire budget on weird eclectic decor leaving everything else lacking. The room was cramped despite being advertised as a “family room”. After me and my small children (under 7) made it in to the room there was hardly any space to walk past each other. The entrance to the room was so cramped that we barely got our suitcase inside (Size L). Instead of a bell-hop service the hotel had airport-style trolleys on the ground floor, seemingly for self-service; there was no offer of “help with bags”. To the extent that I had to roll the trolley myself to the taxi rank outside. The bathroom sink had hair in and around it from the last guest shaving, presumably. The bathroom generally, was showing signs of wear and tear and needed several bits of maintenance. E.g. there was a broken robe peg. While checking out I informed the young man at the reception (really just a table with a laptop on it by the hotel entrance) about the broken peg, his response: “okay”. The pool was closed during our one night stay; admittedly it was early season but what good is advertising the hotel pool when it was closed because there was “no lifeguard on duty”. We arrived a late in the evening (before midnight), and there was not a single morsel of food on offer. Fair enough that room service had finished for the night, but there wasn’t even a vending machine or some such. The shops close-by were all closed. When I went looking around in the lobby - the night person at reception let me wonder around trying to figure out the lobby bar was closed by myself without offering any assistance or help. We had just come from the airport and couldn’t get anything there, so our children and us went to bed on an empty stomach - partly my fault but wow, great assistance from the hotel. The night person was tremendously unhelpful and barely made eye contact with me during check-in. In fact I felt I was being treated with contempt for visiting and staying at the hotel. He should not be in a customer-facing role. There was a solitary drinking water dispenser on the ground floor but it had no cups to drink from throughout the night and until the morning. I suppose you’re not even allowed to have water at this hotel at night time. There were no stirrers or spoons in the room which could be used to mix up your “free” sachet of coffee. I can’t remember if there were even any cups to drink from. Great hospitality. Suffice it to say, I will not return to this hotel, or recommend it to anyone. The only positive about this hotel was its proximity to the airport and the taxi rank outside so I could get away from there quickly.
