My room smelled very badly of body odor. Even the boy who delivered my suitcase noticed and said to complain at the desk. I called the desk and it was answered by a young lady who said she would look into this. After half an hour, I was tired of waiting ( having driven from New York x 6 hours), so I went downstairs to find out what was the problem. No one knew what I was talking about and and an unsmiling woman who was very busy offered an even smaller room or another room at a higher at a higher price. I refused both and resolved to fix the problem myself with the thermostat which I put on high ventilate A/C which cleared the room of the bad odor in 2 days. But I had to leave the room for the day, even though I was very tired. In the evenings, I like to watch movies to relax. I found the choice of movies out of date and unsophisticated. Only kids movies, action movies or out of date movies. Another disappointment. The third day, I invited a friend for lunch at Renoir, and the appetizer Gravelax on a tartine was woefully paltry and pathetic for the high price! On the positive side, the bed and the bedsheets were the best I ever experienced.

Everyone was very friendly, the hotel itself was very clean. However, on the first night, while I was out for dinner, someone from staff came into my room and I did not expect this (they dropped off chocolate and a menu). That was a jarring experience.
