I knew the place already dating back many years. It is still a well managed thus I can recommend booking it when you desire to be close to the center. It's clean and sufficient space (I used the suite). The only negative I could report is that you hear the emergency cars in action (fire brigade, police, ambulance). This cannot be avoided, due to the location. It also the windows, the building is old, thus you may not expect them to have better sound isolation. This is difficult for old buildings to upgrade, the law does not simply allow it.

We received a room in which the window did not open. It wasn't very pleasant. Everything else was great. What was especially convenient was that the coffee machine in the dining room was always available.

Apartment was compact but nicely designed and had everything one needs for a few nights stay. Microwave, stove top, fridge with small freezer compartment, kettle, coffee machine, cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery etc. There was also a well designed pull out table and chairs. Bathroom was good with a large and very good shower off the mains. Although we knew we had booked a courtyard studio, we did not realise that we were not permitted to open the window. It was very hot and stuffy plus as we were on a low floor right in the corner, the room was very dark. There is air conditioning in the rooms, but apparently this only works during the summer months. (We stayed mid march). We were however, given a large desk fan by the very helpful lady at reception, which helped greatly. We would definitely stay at the Adagio again as it is well located for the city centre, but next time will pay a little more for either a city or river view room. A family member had stayed last year and had a lovely big room overlooking the river. Definitely worth paying the extra. We could walk to most of the main attractions from the Adagio, plus access to the Metro and local trams are very close. We also walked from the main rail station (Wien Mitte) ....Catch the S7 train from the airport. Have only given the overall rating as a 7 due to not being able to open the window.

Pros-located steps from several trams and 10 min walk to metro. Each room has a full mini kitchen with microwave and refrigerator, stove, hair dryer, desk and iron. Staff friendly. Has a breakfast for purchase about 20 euros. Cons- during winter room temperature not really adjustable that much and can get stuffy. If you’re hot natured will need to upgrade to room with a window that opens. Since you are so close to trams you can hear and feel them at night.
