Bad experience

Booked a family room for myself, my wife and 13yr old son. On arrival given 2 forms to sign, and when we queried this were told we had 2 twin rooms as booking.com had overbooked and there were no family rooms left. We were not made aware of this beforehand and no apologies given. Told we had 2 rooms opposite each other, which was not the case as one was further along corridor which was not ideal as we only had one bag for toiletries etc so ended up with the 3 of us sharing 2 beds in one room. The room was very dated, had dirty windows, a rip in the carpet and the wall heater looked like it had been on fire as the controls were melted. On checking out the woman at reception didn’t even lift her head to acknowledge us and ask if we had a good stay. For nearly £100 for a night it was definitely not worth it.

Nice premises, staff poor

Upon arrival at the hotel, the ladies on reception could not have been nicer, however, apart from being given a room which if any further away, would have been in the car park, when we went to the restaurant for dinner, we were greeted, then shown to a table, on the table were menu's, with no prices. There were 4 of us at the table. When we asked for a menu with prices, we were given one, not four, but one. We sat and looked over the menu for approximately 30 mins, at no time did anyone come and ask us what we would like to order, nor did anyone ask us if we would like a drink beforehand. In the end we all got up and left. The rooms were also very noisy at nighttime, with people next door and above.
