I informed that my stay was wrongly reserved to a day before by phone, and tried to change the reservation to the next day after, even with the information that there was availability, they asked to call the agency, but the time to call was late. And I faced no show. I think people that work in the reception or attending remote people need more empower to solve customer challenges and in my case I lost the opportunity to stay and know the hotel. My frequency in Rio de Janeiro is huge and because of “1 stay postpone” Ibis Botafogo lose the client.

It isn't enjoyable because for the first time in my life and on three continents (North America, South America, and Africa) I have to pay not in the checkout but in CHECKIN!

Ibis is great, has a good location and good service. The breakfast is very good and has great selection. The customer service at the front desk was good because Andres helped me, he’s very helpful but it can improve overall. The rooms need to be painted and the hotel could be cleaner. But overall I really like this place
