We had a wonderful stay at the Munich Sofitel Bayerpost and enjoyed our spacious duplex room on the 8th floor. In-room breakfast was an excellent way to start our day with the lovely service from the staff and we should also note the doormen and concierge and valet parking who took extra care of us and made us feel especially welcome.

Almost great, great breakfast, great service , bedding and shower etc all excellent But swimming pool closed ? When I booked there was no mention made about its closure , very disappointing as I was so looking forward to using it

Bonjour Mr. C., I sincerely apologise for the disappointment and possible disruption caused by the renovation work, the aim of which is of course to offer an even more modern service with maximum convenience. We will of course endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum and complete the work quickly. I very much regret the inconvenience - and ask for your understanding for the measures. We will, of course, take your criticism regarding communication as an opportunity to scrutinise it again. However, please allow me to point out that we explicitly refer to the renovation work on all platforms and in the reservation confirmation, which our guests also confirm and expressly welcome. It would be nice if you would give us another chance, which I would ask you to do. I very much hope that we will be able to fully convince you of us and our service on your next visit. In general, we were satisfied by our stay at the hotel, despite the fact that we had to wait for our luggage on our arrival and the fact that there was some noise during the last night of our stay.

It sure looks like there were some major flaws within our check-in procedures.
