Caribbeanfanuk Couples - TripAdvisor review

Our party of 2 couples stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of April. We arrived shortly before midday by rail. The hotel is a short walk from the station & upon arrival we stored our luggage in a holding room, returning later to check in. Our room was located on the 1st floor & classed as a city view. Not worth paying the extra for the view, although I didn’t see the view from a basic room & paying the supplement we did get a larger room. There’s a small bar in the lobby area & we had drinks before going out to dinner & again upon our return a couple of nights. The breakfast buffet was plentiful & tasty which set us up for the days exploring the city. The hotel is ideally situated, just a street away from the Royal Mile & close to bars, restaurants etc. The staff were friendly, attentive & efficient. We’ve all said how happy we were with the Ibis & would certainly stay there again.

Chose the room based on location. The stink of the drains was awful, notified reception the next morning and they did something about it but the smell lingered for the remainder of the stay. Pricey for such a basic small room but comparable to others in the city for the same dates.
