Comments of our guests are very important for us because they show us in which areas our services have to be checked and if needed have to be optimized. It is a great pleasure for us to read that you especially appreciated the quality of the food served in our restaurant, the cleanliness of your room, our abundant breakfast buffet as well as the friendliness of our whole team - except from the lack of kindness of our reception team. Generally, we get a lot of positive feedback about the friendliness of our team. We will talk directly with our reception team. Furthermore, we thank you for your comment about the renovation needs of our hotel. The Panorama Hotel Mercure Freiburg was built at the beginning of the seventies in its multi-storey elongated way. Over the years, the hotel has been continually modernized and renovated. In 2013, the last "major renovation" took place in several parts of the house. In 2016, the swimming pool area was redesigned and equipped with the most modern swimming pool technology. In 2018 the topic of "fire protection" was implemented according to the latest standards for the best possible safety of our friends of the house. Further measures are being planned. We enjoyed the views, and where pleased with the restaurant. Bathroom was small, some light need maintenance, the place is a "little" old-fashioned. The parking is difficult. Despite the above if I revisit Freibourg, I may book again, to enjoy the view and the environment.

Position is wonderful with a great view on the city. You are in front of the black forest and there are a lot of trail for trekking in the forest and that’s really nice. You’re far away from the city center, if you have a car that’s no problem cause it’s like 10 minutes. By walk it’s not a good choice, so you have to call taxi’s every time. The spa is quite ok, just two saunas and one swimming pool. No massage service. The room not bad, but the bathroom is awful, it’s really old and not comfortable; the balcony it’s really nice, with that wonderful view and a deckchair but unfortunately lack of privacy. The thing that was really unacceptable was that one night, around 2 am, i went to the reception to ask a bottle of water, cause i was really thirsty, and he was not able to satisfy my request. I mean, that’s just a bottle of water, and he told me that he didn’t have it and wasn’t able to find one, cause the restaurant and the bar were closed. In a 4 star superior hotel it’s shameful. So the hotel was not bad, but for me it’s a one time experience, Probably not come back again.

Furthermore, we thank you for your comments about different subjects. You are right - if you want to walk to the city center you have to calculate 45 minutes for one way. The bathrooms of the hotel rooms were not included in the room renovation in 2013. However, we have already taken this measure into account in our future planning. The outdoor areas of our rooms are not completely separated from each other due to fire protection reasons. A narrow passage as additional escape route in an emergency must be ensured. In summer, in addition to the existing partitions, mediterranean orange trees are placed between the rooms for more privacy of our friends of the house. Unfortunately, it is not possible to offer massages actually. With detailed attention we have read your comment about the situation at our reception at 2 am. Please be assured that this does not correspond to our philosophy and quality standards. We will talk with our night audit about it. It would be a pleasure to count on your trust in the future!
