I visited this hotel with my friend. Personally I found most staff very unhelpful and ignorant definitely try to over charge tourists. I ask receptionist about hiring someone to take us out and he quote €400 for 3 hours we found a proper tour guide for €150 for 6 hours. We visited the spa the woman on reception was extremely rude but the spa itself is nice, you have to buy a swim hat to enter the pool tho. The food in the restaurant is nice unfortunately most staff there were unhelpful with the exception of bektas and berna they are absolutely wonderful by far the best staff there.

Setting the scene: 1 woman having surgery aged 63 for brow face and neck lift, her daughter and her partner, staying for 7 nights in 2 rooms, from late Jan to early Feb 24 with Vanity Clinik about 7 mins away by road/taxi at the Mercure Hotel . We paid about 100 Euros a night for a double room with breakfast per person included. First tip: Watch out for other guests and prepare yourself with scarves/ sunglassess etc if you have a weak stomach: There are a lot of people having surgery of all types staying in this preferred hotel for Vanity Clinick. Thus you get to see people with bandages, open wounds, bent over and a bit out of sorts, so be ready. Its so different in the UK where you might get hidden away in a ward for 6 days! Some reviewers have said that the reception staff at the Mercure Instanbul Altinizade are rude and offhand. I personally don't think that's the case as I think the young reception staff try not to stare at people mid recovery from surgery and are highly respectful. On a similar note, we walked down to supper in the Hotel, and didn't feel in any way that the restaurant staff were fazed by bandages and oozing heads /open hair transplants. Its important to think that the hotel Mecure Altunizade is one of the hotel choices of Vanity Clinik, but bear in mind if you chooose an alternative the traffic in Istanbul is AWFUL! Worse than LA by 100 times.

Good location hotel for those who want do plastic surgery and others. Also quite near shopping mall and MRT (below the shopping mall). Staffs very helpful and nice. I got upgrade to suite which has seperate living room and dinner table. Breakfast little bit not fit for us. Comfy bed and not smelly

Located on the Asian side, this hotel is fairly easy to find, parking underneath, safe, clean, comfy rooms with everything you would need, nice bar & dinning area, breakfast very good, close to metro for visiting EU side, would definitely stay again

So, we got to the hotel it was absolutely amazing, the staff were so lovely, the hotel was extremely nice and the food in the restaurant was amazing However we weren’t a fan of the dessert in the hotel so I decided to order some Turkish Dessert from outside My husband went down to get the food for me and the man on night reception was extremely rude to my husband, my husband can’t endure stress after his heart attack. So basically we ordered food to the hotel, we get a phone call to our room to say the food is here, he goes down to reception to get it and the man on reception starts shouting at him VERY rudely slapping the desk saying “no one called your room, do you not understand English? I’m not speaking to you anymore, no one called your room, go away” 15 times he repeated this, my husband was in awe! The disrespect this man gave him was out of this world. We complained this morning and they are looking into it, but that man’s behaviour was absolutely appalling and extremely uncalled for. Extremely rude. We did not want to spend another second there, so we spent £250 to get away from there and we went to the hotel we stayed at for the first week, DEMİRAY Hotel and Spa which is AMAZING, we have 2 days before we fly back to the UK so we decided to go back to the first hotel we came to on our holiday It was strange because everything about Mercure was amazing the food, the day time staff, the hotel itself was fabulous But that man on reception that night made us want to leave and not stay there. We were not being disrespected like that when we are paying good money to stay somewhere. I want to highlight that all the staff are very very nice, especially Volkan who was absolutely amazing he deserves a promotion! But whoever that man was on reception that night (didn’t get his name) was extremely rude and he shouldn’t be working as a receptionist, treating guests like that is not right at all, extremely disrespectful! I hope he gets dealt with accordingly. P.S- Volkan was an absolute gentleman!
