What a wonderful 3 night stay at Sails in the Desert. Customer service was excellent - room wasn't ready but we had arrived at 1 pm and check in is at 3 so no problem - they called us at 2.30 . Bags in the room when we got there - room spacious and a special treat to see the rock from our room - magical . Surrounds are well maintained and clean - staff exceptionally friendly and smiling and welcoming . Pool too cold for us !! But that didn't stop us enjoying the poolside fun . We loved the indigenous training program that offers hospitality training and a pathway for education and employment. Brilliant ! Shuttle bus easy to hop on and off around the town. We ate in the Walpa lounge - good food - excellent service by Brandon . Coffee machine busiest place ! We also ate elsewhere in the town centre as we are not huge buffet people but the dining room was very popular . All the tours were well run and organized- guides very respectful of the culture and traditions of the Anangu people. Jack our guide was terrific. Uluru and Kata Tjuta - places of deep spirituality , history and culture - a must do experience for everyone - the colors of the desert so vivid - will always hold a special place in our hearts .

Omg where do I start firstly they own all the resorts and honestly stay at the cheapest we are at sail there most expensive our room service was terrible we went out at 9.30am got back at 4pm with nothing done The pool is for kids not adults absolutely freezing water Bali and Thailand would love leave them for dead Customer services is 2 out of 5 They price gauge as they can Shame on them

This is the best of the hotels in town and was a welcome haven from the heat. Hotel has a pool and sun deck with ice cream & lunch service from adjacent restaurant. Good shops for art, fashion and books. Shuttle around resort provides access to visitor centre, cafe and galleries. Room had all the facilities we required and there were two restaurants, one a la carte, but we didn’t want a 3 course meal for 160AUS, so we had a great baramundi in their bistro. Still pricey, but it’s the middle of a desert for heavens sake! Breakfast at local centre in Aboriginal training cafe. Just 2 nights was enough unless you are keen walkers. Helpful staff, trips pick up outside.

The resort is lovely and very well kept. The beautiful sprawling grounds, surrounded by the ruggered natural landscape is fabulous. Loved the viewing platform and the amenities on offer. The proximity to shops, restaurant, the rock itself and other activities was great too. Everything was done for you. The restaurants were well staffed and a great variety on offer in different price points. The cultural respect for the land was so evident. We would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.

The hotel is luxurious but not at all precious. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the restaurants are sensational, the staff are brilliant, and Uluru is the most spectacular and deeply spiritual place I've ever been in my lifetime. I can't wait to return. Just do it!
