An exceptional place to stay and very quiet inside our room even with the airport. We had an early flight and this place made things so simple the next morning. The evening we arrived I walked into the airport and picked up some late snacks. Our Jr 2 room suite had a table and chairs, hot pot, coffee service, corner windows for loads of light, comfortable L sofa, soft bed, large shower & separate tub, and double sinks with all the comforts one needed.

Nice hotel but need to sort out the aircon

If you need a hotel close to airport there really is no choice so you're stuck with the Sofitel. The restaurant and bar are a little pricey but good food and drink is served. Bedrooms are nicely equipped. My only issue is that they seem to be penny pinching by not turning the air com on so the room was warm and stuffy and no ability to open the window. Only after arguing with the night manager about how ridiculous it was to have aircon that doesn't cool below 21 did they provide a fan and crank up the coolness. Once temperature was sorted I had a great stay.

We booked this hotel because we had a 6AM international flight home. The hotel could not be in a closer location to the airport. It was so nice to just walk across the street at 3AM! Our first room had a problem with the air conditioning. After waiting for a while for it to cool and having maintenance come twice, the manager moved us. That was slightly inconvenient, but having a cool room was worth the move! We appreciate that they were concerned about our comfort. Temperature taken care of, we were able to enjoy our room. The bed was very comfortable and I loved that there was a soaking tub, in addition to the rainfall shower in the bathroom. Despite being so close to the airport, we never heard a plane. It was a very quiet room and made for a wonderful end to our time in Athens.

I had an early morning flight and this was this only airport hotel so I stayed the night, though this is not within my normal budget at $227 for one person. The convenience is ideal---immediately across from the airport entrance and they give you a wake up call. There a couple of free bottles of water in the room and an espresso maker. The bed was gigantic and comfortable and there was both a shower and bath which had great water pressure and nice and hot. I especially appreciated the black out shutters and sound proofing. They have a restaurant but note there is food to purchase immediately outside the airport entry (spinach pies, baklava, etc..) fresh and obviously much cheaper.
