This is by far the stand out hotel in Cairns. Located in the heart of the city and within walking distance of everything. The rooms are spacious with the decor suited for the tropical environment. The service if first class from when you arrive, to Housekeeping and the security team that welcome you to the casino.

Stolen Rx and problematic air conditioning.

Great location, and nice room. Great bath and shower and separate commode room with a sink. The air was problematic in two rooms as we were moved from one due to the issue. The air would not shut off even when significantly cooler than the setting. Engineering agreed and needed a part to fix it. We were moved to another room where the air still malfunctioned getting very warm overnight. The worst issue though was a stolen prescription medicine from my bag. The missing Rx was the only one anyone would want (valium) while the rest were left in my bag. Staff insisted that I lost the Rx or misplaced it, but I am confident it was with my others. Not ok.

The hotel is dated and did not meet our expectations. The room is spacious and the bed was comfortable but it smelled musty. We spoke to the front desk and they offered to have a machine brought up to “air out the room” but it never happened. Honestly, if I planned to be here for more than 2 nights I would have switched hotels

Nice Hotel But NOT 5 Star!

This hotel bills themself as a 5 Star Hotel so that is how I will rate it - against other 5 Star hotels . First of all the only person who has any sense of 5 star service is the Concierge (Matt) who was incredible and probably would be a better General Manager than the one they have. No bell service (other than Matt), only a coffee shop in hotel (usual bad casino food choices in the casino). Room was generally clean down the middle while baseboards and walls were gross and probably have never been cleaned. Hotel location is excellent t close to restaurants and bars. If this hotel billed themselves as a 3-star hotel (which is what they really are) Inwould give them 4.5 stars but since they bill themselves as 5 star (which is laughable) they get 3

I do recommend that should you come across something that is not right with your room, please let our Manager on Duty know (or Matt) and we would get one of our team up to rectify it as soon as possible and if we couldn't fix it we would move you to another room. Things do go wrong from time to time and the team are not perfect and do miss things occasionally. We are happy to rectify this as quickly as we can to make your stay more enjoyable. It is a shame that you didn't take the opportunity to try one of our other 3 restaurants, you might have enjoyed them before writing them off without having tried them. Matt is a superstar as you say, as are the rest of the team who do their best everyday to look after our guests. Best regards, Wayne

On arrival staff was very friendly checking in. Parking was like most under cover can be very tight pending what type of vehicle one has. Room was nice and tidy very spacious, clean, modern, décor was nice very private. Beds where very comfortable, can't say much about the pillows a little to hard for me, though everyone is different. Was only an overnight stay so can't really say much.
