The Hotel is getting old but we had a lovely large room overlooking the Loire river through the trees, the wi-go was very good and 2 welcome drinks so we had dinner in the restaurant and was very good. Only a short walk to Bars and Restaurants, We had booked undercover secure parking otherwise there was parking across the road

Very disappointed with our room, not close to 4 star standard. We booked one of the larger rooms, as others have mentioned this was a strange layout with a tiny sitting area and bathroom on one level and a mezzanine with the bed - notably none of these rooms are shown on the website. The room was tired & shabby, other than the recently renovated bathroom. The furniture downstairs was crowded as if borrowed from another room with more space. The couch was a pull out bed (although I can only imagine how cramped the room would be with the bed in use - I don’t know how anyone would get down from the mezzanine to the bathroom…) and just about functioned as a couch - the cushions wouldn’t stay in place and it was not at all comfortable. The stairs was ugly (painted in red gloss) narrow and awkward. All the furniture looked cheap and had seen better days. The balcony was unpleasant, no furniture and very gloomy concrete. The carpets were garish and grim. There were no cups or glasses provided for the soft drinks or tea and coffee. Only 2 paper coffee cups, cannot understand how this meets their green criteria. The indoor pool bizarrely is adjacent to the wine bar with a glass wall separating the two rooms. Not necessarily the view either swimmers or drinkers are looking for. Positives: The bed was a decent size. Water, orange juice and a couple of cans of coke/ orangina were included in the minibar. The nespresso machine and kettle was good although shoved in on a table under the stairs.. not so good for the very tall. Not recommended.

Fantastic visit to Mercure with my family. Such a lovely welcome, staff were very friendly and facilities were good. Breakfast choice was very good and the hotel was in such a great location for sight seeing. The only unfortunate disappointment was that the air conditioning was broken throughout our stay so our room was absolutely boiling. Would have been good to have been offered some fans as we just didn't sleep much in the very hot temperatures. Would not put us off visiting again though.

The location of the hotel is indeed ideal, 5 minutes on foot from the city center, 10 minutes from the Royal Castle, a few kilometers from the Châteaux of Beauregard, Cheverny, Chambord, Chaumont and 45 minutes from Beauval Zoo ! The breakfast buffet is intended to be gourmet to satisfy the expectations of different palates. I am sincerely sorry for the occasional air conditioning failure following poor technical handling by our maintenance company. The installation was put back into operation the following afternoon. Hotel is nice and central 10-12 minutes walk into town to visit chateau . Staff at reception most helpful and friendly. Small elevator but works fine . The bed is very comfortable and breakfast is the best . My shower did flood a little as water not draining the best .

Great location for bikers

Excellent location and amenities. Only a few blocks from the main center. They had an indoor pool and sauna. Easy to get on bikes and ride local trails. Safe parking for bikes and cars. Best breakfast options we saw all trip, anything you can think of. The front desk provided great service.
