Cleaning crew does not get enough time.

The cleaning service is unacceptable. The bathroom and shower walls were dirty on arrival (many yellow, brown and grey spots that could be removed with a wet cloth - example attached). During the stay the room was not cleaned at all - only the towels were changed - bed, bathroom surfaces, sink and toilet were in the exact same state as I left them.

I had a good stay at this hotel, having staying in many Ibis Budgets before, I knew what to expect-modern but basic. I didn't mind this as we only needed the hotel to sleep after exploring all day and gladly, the bed was so comfy. The room has no storage really except some hangers but we used the window sill to but our bags. We had a Table and 2 stools also in our room. The shower room was clean enough (bar some marks on the walls). You only get 2 towels for a double room, no handtowel and 2 tubes of hair/body wash (no hand wash). I knew this from staying in other Ibis so I brought my own shampoo etc. I paid a 20euro deposit for a hairdryer at reception and there are ironing facilities in the basement. Hotel lobby has a fab venting area with lots of drinks,snacks & toiletries. The location was about 25 mins from the centre on the 5 tram so easy to navigate. No issues with the staff. All in all I would stay here again as it was significantly cheaper than the other hotels just bare in mind that it's budget.

The only somewhat positive is that there is a tram stop nearby connecting to the city centre. The rest, it’s medium at best. Cleanliness is borderline and possibly below average. Below average as a hotel in general as well as in terms of the Ibis brand in particular. Bed linen and towels would do with a replacement, since they start to dangerously show their age. Rooms are absolutely spartan, frequently with quite literally just a bed; some rooms have a small table and a stool (very useful to at least place your things somewhere), but whether one has at least that table or not is a lottery and then you have to beg for one. The front desk (rarely) has some alright members of staff, but it’s mostly inadequate. Most are either inexperienced, or on very short contracts, or they just don’t care. As a disclaimer, the benchmark here would be just some relative efficiency and some minimal customer service, not American-style small talk or extraordinary service; however, even that minimum is not found. I will not even talk about the notion of Accor loyalty or regular guests, it would have been a joke. Therefore, all in all, if you can find a dead-cheap offer in this hotel, i.e. below €65, in combination with the prices in Amsterdam in general, then the compromise could be worth it. Think about it as the Ryanair of hotels: absolutely basic and borderline or below average on many markers, but equally tempting when the price is low enough. Otherwise, quite frankly just go somewhere else.

Overpriced budget hotel, bad location and you dont even have a telefon in the room to connect to the lousy receptionists. Plastic and paper cups, all in all a cheapy totally depressing hotel. Staff are a bunch of teenage recruits with no sense of hospitality, shouldnt have ever stood behind a counter. This hotel should never be willing choice of accomodation. Rooms were never cleaned on daily bases. A pathetic experience luckily was busy in the Cardiology congress, thus came always late and left early.
