Convenient hotel location, close to amenities and transport links for business. Friendly helpful staff, good food quality and clean accommodation. Ciao receptionist was particularly helpful and friendly. Hotel reception would benefit from a real coffee machine for those working out with restaurant hours.

I booked this Novotel based on the proximity to RioCentro where Web Summit took place. It had excellent TripAdvisor reviews too. Unfortunately, very basic hotel, with less than exciting location in the area of Rio that is not good either. The service was quite indifferent too, my Platinum status wasn't even acknowledged, I was told that the water in the room wasn't free either. I always get water bottles and Platinum amenity. The only bright spot was front desk representative Beatrice who tried hard to make our stay pleasant. The cost was reasonable too.The room looked old and dated, with mildew and mold, and it smelled of smoke. The room keys didn't work on several occasions. The breakfast was barely edible. All in all, I won't stay there again, and don't recommend this hoteL. Stayed in many Novotel hotels in the world, much better experience. Also, stayed in 2 other Accor hotels in Rio: Fairmont and Mercure, much better experience too. This hotel is listed as #1 hotel in Rio on Trip Advisor, this is straight up lie, alas! Not sure whether it is based on "old" experiences and stays, or made up reviews.

Room smells of mold and mildew.. Paper coffee cups leak the coffee....breakfast is good...lunch and supper menus horrible...has a look of neglect about it...smells dirty...elevator doors need to be fixed....it should not be a novotel...no service at the bar...you have to go look for the bar person...staff very professional and friendly......but I will not be going back...my clothes all smell of mildew and mold...need to spend 100 euros in dry cleaning.....

Wet food service when staying at this hotel. We arrived late for lunch but were very much welcomed. The food was good. In the evening we ate in the restaurant and were attended to by Beatriz and Lucas. They were very helpful indeed. I would very much like to use this hotel again due to the attentiveness of the staff. People are the best there. The receptionist do their best to help you with your needs specially Beatriz. She is something else. Food is ok. Rooms are fine. Be patient with maintenance and gym cleaning. I loved most of the time. Hope you have a great time there😃
