Historic hotel with really wonderful butlers & staff

A beautiful historic hotel with interesting architecture. Peter, the manager at the in house Italian restaurant was attentive and helpful at breakfast and with our wine selections. The service was top notch, and most of the butlers are fluent in English. The butlers are always on call to attend to our every request. We also really enjoyed the daily happy hour - a good way to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. Our son suffered from a bout of food poisoning from the HSR meal and threw up all over the couch in the suite's living room. The butlers and housekeeping swooped in to replace the soiled cushions and towels. Our butler even rushed out to purchase isotonic drinks to help our son replenish his electrolytes. All the staff members we encountered never failed to enquire after our son for the rest of our stay. We are so very grateful for their help during his illness!

Very nice hotel in a bustling city with super friendly staff and nice and modern rooms. It's located quite centrally - only a few steps and your are right in the middle of this lively city. And, most importantly, it's the perfect starting point to explore the Terracotta Army.

3 day visit early September. Historic property with good facilities and great location - comfortable walk to Muslim quarter. What sets this property apart is the incredible staff and how they anticipate your needs. Really thoughtful people and able to recommend a wide range of tours, arrange transport, restaurants etc. Special thanks to Farsave, Danny and Lizzy. Visited several cities in China on this trip and English skills have declined during covid with so few foreign visitors to China….. however the team at Sofitel are all fluent. It’s a wonderful hotel.

It's the most legendary hotel you may find in Xi'an - it's a historical building but fully renovated inside to match the brand of Sofitel Legend (there are only a handful of hotels under this brand worldwide, the other ones in Amsterdam, Aswan, etc.) They use Hermes bath amenities and Evian as complimentary bottled water, which is a plus. Only drawback is that the hotel feels a little bit short-staffed (e.g., during the happy hour time). Also, I paid around 50 dollars extra to change to a twin room from a king room, which is a bit wired.

Serive was good and all was great.. you can GO TO HAVANA BAR @ HILTON WITHINE 10MINS BY WALK and market . B/F also better than other hotel. Room also very cozy. staff was very kindness. if i have a chance to come personally xian. I would like to stay here again
