I chose this hotel due to its close proximity to the Adelaide Convention Centre where my conference was held. The staff were very nice. Some people might find the room to be small and the decor to be outdated, however, I thought the room was fine. Some people could be bothered by the lack of windows. I was often at the conference so it didn’t bother me. Do note, in this area of Adelaide you can often hear planes flying overhead. All in all, it was a good overall.

Yes it's an older hotel but the beds were comfortable and the room lovely and quiet, even on a Saturday night. Reception staff were pleasant and the location excellent. My only complaint is that the carpet in our room was not up to scratch and needed replacing.

In the heart of the city

Given its city centre location our room was well insulated against external noise. The room facilities were standard if a little tired looking, especially chipped and scuffed woodwork. The staff were very helpful. A basic continental breakfast was available at a very reasonable price.

No frills hotel in good location

The hotel is in a good location, 5 minute walk to Rundle Mall, close to Adelaide Railway station, the tram stops (for the free CBD trams) and Adelaide Convention Centre. The staff are friendly and helpful. My issues were dealt with promptly. My room had a small window facing a wall so no view of anything. There wasn’t enough natural light in the room and hotel so it had a damp smell. The bathroom looks like it has been upgraded but the rest of the room and hotel does need an upgrade. The toilet is not well positioned and could be difficult for someone who is taller or bigger. My shower door did not shut completely. And paint was peeling in some parts of the bathroom. The used cups were not replaced each day. Some cups were chipped at the bottom which should be thrown out rather than left for customer use. The hallway to the rooms has pillars and thick carpet making it difficult to navigate the trolley cases. If you are not a fussy person then this hotel would suit. The hotel has the basics and is in a good location.

Stolen hairdryer from our occupied room

I would not recommend this hotel at all, my hair dryer was stolen out of our occupied room, and when I contacted the front desk they said they had a dryer with a note on it in their stores that was taken out of our room when they brought it up and showed me it was not my hair dryer which I informed them, the sum-manager insisted it was mine and tried to talk my husband into accepting it, my hair dryer was nothing like the one the hotel uses so my question is why was it taken out anyway, I have contacted them a few times without any reply or explanation, I believe the cleaning staff have stolen mine and left the crapy one for me to claim, I have traveled to many many countries in the world but have never had anything happen like this before, sham it happened in Australia.
