We made our booking with Costco travel, we stayed here for three nights. Breakfast was complimentary which was included in our booking. Breakfast was delicious everything was fresh and hot. Service while we were here for our dinning experience was great. Dinner was so delicious.The view of the canals was so peaceful and wonderful. We enjoyed our time here. The hotel set us up for a complimentary private boat ride to Murano to see a blown glass demonstration. This was amazing to see and experience.

Unsafe! We were mugged and assaulted.

This hotel has been targeted by assailants and is NOT safe for guests. I stayed here with my family in March of 2024 and my mother and I were mugged and assaulted feet from the front door of the hotel. We were robbed of valuables and I was injured during the attack. The police were called by good samaritans nearby. Police have record that this was not the first incident of this nature to occur recently in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The hotel is aware of this problem and has done nothing to ensure the safety of guests. They have no security (they do not even have managerial staff on site most of the time) and did not offer any assistance to us in the immediate aftermath of this event. We spent hours in the hotel lobby filing police reports and were not so much as offered a bottle of water or a comfortable place to sit. We made our booking via Costco Travel who is supposedly investigating, but MGallery/Accor Group has not taken responsibility for the lapses in security and continues to minimized our experience. Whether you book directly or through a third party like we did, you are putting your personal safety at risk by staying at this hotel.

Dear Guest, It is with deep sorrow that we read your comments since, as previously said, we all regret so much for what happened to you and your family. However, please allow us to say that we find it a bit unfair from you side to focus your frustration to our Hotel and staff for an unfortunate and disgraceful event happened in town and not inside our property. On the contrary, we have received many appreciation words from your father, and we wish to thank him for his politeness and gratitude. Venice is one of the most touristic city all over the world, and like all big cities in Italy and abroad can be unluckily hit by pickpockets. Our rooms have private safes and theirs use is free for our guests, in a way to secure all important documents and personal items. All the team gave you immediately our best assistance, both during and after the happening, and that’s precisely our front desk employee who first called the police to report the incident. It is not true to affirm the contrary, and this can proved by the official police report. Unfortunately the situation occurred outside of the Hotel, in the main alley around the corner where all people and tourists pass through for all day long to enter the city center. Outside of the main entrances we have CCTV whose registrations have been already delivered to the police department, and it is thanks to these security cameras that we noticed what was happening and immediately called for help. We are firmly convinced to have a very professional team working at the Papadopoli, who does not deserve these words for things we have no responsibility for. Wishing you a safe flight back home, we remain at your disposal and send you our best regards

What a lovely hotel. We were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome and I truly believe that the first impression of a great hotel is exactly what we received by the amazing staff. Check-in was very quick our room was ready, nothing was too much trouble. Every detail was to perfection. My husband celebrated his 80th birthday the hotel was kind enough to have Prosecco and strawberries in our room which was an amazing gesture. Breakfast was delicious plenty to choose from, the staff very helpful. Location is excellent as it’s very near the bus terminal and not very far from the train station. A good 30 minutes walk to St Marks square and the Rialto Bridge, there are water buses near the train station if walking is not suitable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will definitely come back again. Thank you everyone for making our stay very memorable.

Our two week tour of Italy brought us to Venice for the third stop. A beautifully appointed Venice hotel, Papadopoli Hotel Venezia, was a short walk from the train station and over the bridge. Do be aware of the thieves here, as they are abundant between the train station and the bridges. The daytime front desk staff member, Amelio, was very helpful to get us checked in to our rooms and acquainted with our surroundings. The accommodations were of a high quality, and yet a bit smaller than the previous locations. Amelio, the restaurant staff, and the door men were very friendly and spoke good English. We discovered that there is a Italian Post Office very close to the hotel if you wish to send home some of your treasures rather than carry them through US Customs. As with our other hotels, the breakfast was supplied with quality food of great variety for any dietary needs. You will have plenty of walking and touring to do in Venice, so plan well for weather changes. Using an app to map your way to the sites is helpful, and you can also look for the signs leading to the area to which you are walking.

We had a short but enjoyable stop at this hotel at the end of a tour. Everything was lovely and the breakfast served in a huge atrium was wonderful. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the train station. We had a train to catch in the morning and had been concerned about transporting 2 40# suitcases over the Ponte di Costituzione bridge which has many steps. The hotel arranged for a porter to come in the morning with a cart. For the 10 or 15 euro charge, it was well worth the cost.
