We booked a room on our mobile phone while on route to Beaune. It was difficult to find out how to enter the premises do to a gate being down. My wife had to go to reception to find out. When we checked in we found out a motorcycle club was there with 150 bikes. It was our fault for not finding this out. The bar area was jammed. The group wasn’t overly noisy just filled up the place. The dining room was available only at 7 or 9 because of the biker club. The food was bland at best( a sad experience for being in Beaune). The room was acceptable ( nothing special- a bit worn). On a positive note the breakfast was superb.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. It helps us to improve a little more every day. As far as the group of bikers is concerned, it was exceptional. They were in the bar when they arrived and from 7.00 pm onwards, they were in a private lounge to make room for our individual customers. As for the restaurant times, we invited our customers to come by at 7pm or 9pm so that they didn't have to wait long. Bringing out 180 hot dishes at the same time takes a bit of time and we didn't want to make our customers wait too long. We stayed overnight en route to the alps and were extremely disappointed. The location is good but we received the most revolting looking steak for dinner which was also cold. When we told the waiter he proceeded to ‘heat it up’ then returned the same slab of fatty beef. When we said we didn’t want it anymore he said it was a much better steak than we’d get in England and walked away. We asked if he could take it off the bill which he said he would but upon checking out this obviously hadn’t been done. We weren’t expecting 5 star service but manners come for free and these are certainly lacking at this Novotel. Thankfully there are plenty more options in the area for us to use in the future.

We selected this hotel both because of its location and its swimming pool (which turned out to be pretty small). Rooms and bathrooms are adequate, but not much more. Breakfast is so so. But at least the staff is friendly.

A regular and reliable stop

This is my regular stop on my way south. Parking is always available and the hotel is easily accessible from the autoroute. The hotel is on the outskirts of Beaune so a fairly long walk into town. The hotel is comfortable, clean and reasonably priced. The staff are always welcoming and efficient. The restaurant is adequate but very expensive for basic food. 31€ for a bland entrecôte and a handful of chips with no salad or veg. The wine list has very few half bottles and those it has are around 30€. Probably cheaper to get a taxi into town. One seemingly trivial but hugely frustrating issue with all the Accor hotels I have stayed in recently is that they no longer supply milk for your in room coffee or tea. I guess this is about reducing plastic use but it is an idiotic policy. Please think again Accor.

I will take the liberty of passing on your recommendations concerning the kitchen to our chef so that we can improve in the future. As far as the milk jugs are concerned, the decision to remove single-use plastic came from Accor management. But it is the result of the new European standards to be put in place. Our housekeeper is currently working on the subject to find an alternative to this service that respects the wishes of our customers, hygiene standards and new environmental policies. We were 4 travellers from UK on Motorcycles, who had been let down on at 21:00 arrival at another hotel. I phoned the Novotel in Beaune who in minutes sorted out 2 twin rooms for 3 nights. No fuss and superb customer courtesy. I would like to Name Alexandra and Lexane, who are a great asset to this Hotel. They even allowed us to get a meal while they checked us in! This hotel is truly customer focussed and I would stay here again as a first choice. I also recommend it to other visitors to Beaune. The town is an easy 15-20 minute walk to the town centre.
