Wow what amazing staff you have. A big shout out to Aman and Guilia my husband took ill while on a visit to London. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for looking after us so well. The rooms were lovely and clean not posh but a very comfortable hotel in a great location. Thanks again

A lovely place with delicious breakfast . Thanks for Janos and Alexandra for the top level service! The room was clean and tidy. Close to the public travel options and to the lovely park in Greenwich. Definitely we will come back later with friends.

The most helpful and lovely staff in all sections of the hotel. Lovely rooms, very comfortable beds. The banana tree vegan options were delicious. We will be staying here every time we come down to Look don in future. So convenient for travel into London and of course Greenwich is a destination itself.

Terrible - unsafe

Terrible stay. Arrived and were allocated a room. The key didn't work and so we had to go back down to sort - this took 2 attempts. Got into the room and it was tiny - way too small for a family of 3. Within 5 minutes my 4 year old trapped his finger in the door hinge. This should have been protected as the gap between the hing and frame edge is so wide and the toilet is right behind the door so could happen to any child. Worried our child had broken his finger we went to get first aid and and ice pack. No first aid trained staff available and first aid kits weren't even topped up. No ice pack available. Got back to room, child in agony. Give ice cubes and towel and left to sort ourselves. Next we tired to use the sink - this was blocked and so had to go back and let them know. This then meant moving rooms. Terrible stay - dates rooms in need of repair. Unsafe bathroom doors. Tiny room that you can barely move in. Given a free breakfast which was awful - rude staff on service. Better breakfast 1 mins walk away at Grind. Won't be staying again.pretty sure the lack of first aid trained staff and lack of first aid kit which is illegal. Especially when they also run a kitchen. Doors with gaps between hinges of this size should also have a guard on. Also stains on furniture which need cleaning.

We deeply regret the inconvenience caused by the key card issue and the subsequent room allocation. The incident involving your child's finger is distressing, and we apologize for any pain or discomfort caused. We are committed to guest safety, and we have already addressed your concern to our Health and Safety committee. However, please note that the gap between the frame and door is something which cannot be filled as it will not allow the door to close, and it is a normal gap all doors have. Please know that we are working diligently to address the maintenance issues you raised and to ensure our rooms meet the expected standards of comfort and safety. Please note that we do have first aiders on duty and that ice packs are not part of the mandatory items a first aid kit must have. Also, our restaurant is outsourced and we do not manage it directly. However, trained first aiders are always on duty on the restaurant premises as well. Your comments regarding the breakfast service and staff behavior are disheartening, and we will address your concerns to the Banana Tree management team. We understand your decision not to stay with us again, and we deeply regret that we fell short of your expectations. Excellent check in. Quick considering there were a bus load of us. Room (101) was in need of some cleaning/maintenance (carpet was tired, shower tray needed work, afraid to use the shower). Only there for 1 night so didn't complain. Beds were comfy and bedding clean. A good nights sleep. Breakfast had everything you could want. Excellent choice of cold buffet and a full English brought to your table.
