Being close to a metro stop, parking, and price were our main drivers to choose this hotel, and it lived up to all of them. Additionally, the staff was very nice and service oriented. The facilities themselves did though appear somewhat aged carpet at the room entrance was bulging, and bathroom light came on in 3 different tempi, as the mirror light was old. The one big turn-off was though that there was staining on the wall next to the toilet, which made the bathroom seem uncleaned, which there was no other indication for. Additionally, and old pet-peave of mine. We are the type of guests, who are happy to re-use our towels for more than one day. So, we always hang up the towels, but coming back into the room we are not able to see, whether our towels were replaced, beause they are neatly folded. -How does that align with the policy of not changing the towels?

We booked a suite, was just staying for one night to attend a concert nearby. In the description of the room it says a lot of super cool stuff about the room/suite, I guess it’s another room you’re describing. An example you write that it’s with an VIP bathroom with bathrobes… only linen in the bathroom was very thin worn out towels. We arrived one hour before normal checkin, as we had done the checkin on the Accor app, and was presented with the opportunity to chose when we arrived and therefore we hoped that our room would be ready one hour before. But sadly no.. we weren’t event asked if we would like to use the luggage room while we had to leave and come back. The hotel and rooms are quite dated, and to be honest a little more sufficient cleaning and smiling service could make up for some of that. My pictures are showing you the vip bathroom, everything that had been white once had now by the help of many years now turned yellow. Please note the disgusting toilet seat. WiFi not working in most of hotel and certainly not in the room.

The Mercure Berlin West is not a 4 star hotel more like a 3 star. Many of the claimed features listed either don’t exist or aren’t working. For instance there is no restaurant only a breakfast room. No minibar, the pool is drained and I never saw the bar open. The internet is poor dropping in and out. The worst experience is the hotel was overheated from an unidentifiable source requiring me to keep my window open all night despite the traffic noise and noise from nearby buildings. The tv had limited channels in non German language and the bed was uncomfortable. The staff were very good and the hotel is very clean the only two positives.

I chose this hotel as I was touring Berlin with a friend for a few days, but he was arriving a couple of days later than me. This proved to be a great option in terms of budget, distance from the city centre and proximity to public transport. Once you come up the steps from the U-Bahn at Siemenssdamm, it’s immediately to your right. The member of staff in the reception was warm and friendly and spoke very good English as my German is not very good after studying it a little at school 25 years ago. The room was large, very clean, and well-equipped. It was too warm for me, and turning the air con down didn’t help, but the window opens very wide. The bathroom also had a bath which was a bonus. The bed is firm which I really enjoyed, but I appreciate that won’t be to everyone’s liking. I’m sure I requested the room not to be serviced but the maid had been in every day. I didn’t use the TV but the Wi-Fi was a little patchy and slow at times. There is plenty of plug sockets including one near the bed. There was a soft light on the floor lamp and a desk lamp which was great. I had the buffet breakfast one morning, which had a great and varied selection of hot and cold food, this included cereals, bread, cold meats, cheeses, eggs, sausages, fresh juice, tea, and coffee. There is a supermarket across the road open till 10 pm, which was handy to get food for dinner. Yeah, it is quiet, and felt safe. I couldn’t hear any noise from any adjacent rooms. If I’m visiting Berlin in the future on my own, I will probably stay here again.

Uバーンの駅の目の前と好立地。目的地にも至近距離。道路の反対側には大きなスーパーマーケットがあり、買い物も便利。部屋は広くて快適。浴室の排水がやや悪い。
