This is a standard Mercure with a very good service. It is well located. It is a walking distance from all the major attractions. Guilherme the bar-man helps with everything needed. The view is beautiful.

Very good location within walking distance of city centre. Nice room and bathroom and very comfy bed. Good breakfast with plenty of cold and hot dishes. Very professional and attentive staff. Highly recommended for both leisure and business.

No Iron

I expect a four star hotel to have some kind of service for their guests. I am on a business trip and I want to fix my shirt in the morning due travel and there is no iron. They say that they have 6 of them but havent had them returned, when I ask if they can check with those gusets they say they will check oif they have out them outside thoe rooms. So now I am sitting wiaiting in my room. I am not so confident that they check outside the rooms either as the tray with old food has been sitting outside in the hallway since last night.

This is a very dated Mercure. Normally Mercure guarantees a certain expected standard, unfortunately this doesn't meet them. The prime criticism is that the air conditioning is virtually non existent. In spite of requesting the receptionist to adjust it. We spent a very stuffy, uncomfortable night with the window open to the noisy road. The 70s decor is also very depressing. In future we won't just assume that because it is Mercure, it will be 4*

Clean and thoroughly organized, yet cozy, and the staff is really nice. The location is just amazing, not just for the view but also for its proximity to the city center and the sea. We loved our time there.
