Arrived 7th may. Wonderful reception, pleased with room, but only set up for one. One water, one biscuit, one set of towels. Spoke to reception. Went for a drink, bar staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Had dinner, service and staff really good, food good. Breakfast very good, again staff excellent, especially Tina. Dinner abysmal ! Different staff, didn’t have a clue, didn’t care, didn’t ask if meal was ok. We waited over an hour to get main course, had to stand to get attention to enquire where food was. Staff were not attentive, had to walk to restaurant desk to ask for more oil and balsamic, because the thimble portion I got I had used, food when it arrived was barely satisfactory. No apology, no enquiry as to how the meal was. Staff seemed to be unhappy, stressed, and disorganised, even staff from the previous day seemed stressed and tired. What went wrong ? Could it be that because there was a wedding celebration at the same time, experienced staff were attending wedding guests, whilst hotel guests were ignored. No we didn’t complain at the time because restaurant staff couldn’t care less, and reception was not manned. Sadly our first and last visit, very, very disappointed.

Well appointed hotel and room BUT Our room was comfortable but when the room was serviced the maid managed to leave us without a bath mat and did not replace the canned water, instead just leaving what remained from the night before. Despite the food being reasonably good our evening meal was spoiled by absolutely shambolic service. It took a good half hour from our reserved time to be seated and then an age to even get a drink. Maybe it was just a bad (Friday) night but it was absolutely terrible - the opposite of relaxing. The breakfast buffet was excellent BUT we could only book times far earlier than we wanted. That was fortunate, in a way, as replenishment of the buffet was not too efficient.

I want to extend my sincerest apologies for the disappointing experiences you encountered during your recent stay with us. It is disheartening to hear that our otherwise well-appointed facilities were marred by service lapses in our dining and housekeeping areas. Regarding your dinner experience, I am truly sorry for the delays and overall poor service you received. This is not reflective of our usual standards, and we had two staff members call in sick for there shift which we were unable to replace on top of a medical emergency in our outside dinning pods we are taking steps to address this with our restaurant team to ensure such incidents are not repeated. Additionally, I apologize for the inconvenience you faced in not being able to book your preferred breakfast times. We appreciate your feedback and will review our reservation procedures to enhance the guest experience in this regard. Regarding the housekeeping issues with your room, I apologize that it was not clear that the water in the bedrooms is complimentary on arrival only and therefore not replenished. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we genuinely appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention. Please know that we are dedicated to addressing these issues promptly to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Kind regards Gavin General Manager

L'hotel si trova in una posizione fantastica, circondato da prati verdi e alberi. La struttura è molto ben tenuta, le camere sono spaziose anche se c'e' legno ovunque e appena ci si muove scricchiola. Non 'c'e l'ascensore per cui si va con le scale fino al terzo piano che più essere un disagio con i bagagli. Molto buona la colazione

Una location bellissima, restaurata recentemente (il bar e la zona pranzo sono state inaugurate nel 2016) con uno stile contemporaneo inglese che a me piace molto, soprattutto la zona ristorante e la zona relax che affaccia su un patio con splendida vista del parco sono stupende. Camere spaziose con letti molto comodi. Bagno old style, con lo sciacquone un po' difficile da operare, nel complesso pulite a parte le finestre. Non c'è aria condizionata, ma qui nn credo serva e manca il frigorifero, le stanze privilege hanno la Nespresso. Al ristorante abbiamo mangiato bene e la colazione è fantastica! Parcheggio gratuito. Manca l'ascensore e se siete al terzo o quarto piano la salita è impegnativa! L'hotel è immerso nel verde e si sente in lontananza l'autostrada. Ottima base per visitare il Gloucestershire.

Situato nella bellissima campagna del Gloucestershire, l'hotel (piacevolmente rinnovato dall'anno scorso) si presenta molto bene, con un'atmosfera luminosa e al tempo stesso calda. Il personale alla reception si è sempre mostrato sorridente e disponibile, rispondendo immediatamente alle esigenze dell'ospite. La camera era dignitosa, pulita e silenziosa (a parte un rumore verso le 6:30/7 che nn ho capito cosa fosse). Certo la tipica moquette inglese ha sempre qualche macchia, ma mi soffermerei di più sul bagno: molto essenziale per un 4 stelle. Per esempio il kit di cortesia era costituito da appena un bagnoschiuma e uno shampoo. E soprattutto niente scopino del WC che si trova anche nei B&B!! Insomma, un po' poco Molto buono il cibo, dalla colazione agli altri pasti. Con varietà e assortimento. Commento per gli italiani: insalate e verdure sono scondite, quindi regolatevi! Il personale di sala era composto da giovani, per lo più stranieri, probabilmente appena usciti dalla scuola alberghiera che non sempre capivano le richieste, ma ce la mettevano tutta. Bene anche l'organizzazione per la conferenza. Peccato che l'ultimo giorno, sebbene arrivati 45 minuti prima per chiedere di poter mangiare un po' velocemente dato che avevamo un volo, ci è stato risposto di sì e poi che purtroppo dovevano fare uscire tutti i piatti insieme. Morale: abbiamo dovuto andarcene senza mangiare (ma avendo pagato!) La prossima volta un po' di flessibilità non guasterebbe.
