Location: ok, 15 minutes to all landmarks in city by taxi Price: ok, cannot expect the cheaper Breakfast: good enough for a morning Receptionist: luckily in one shift, there is one receptionist who can speak a little English. They were quite helpful, they helped with arranging taxi and interpreting when we needed to buy a tour. Cleanliness: ok, nothing to complain Staff attentiveness: hope they can improve this. One shortcoming: one parcel was sent to the hotel for me in the morning; but in the afternoon, i asked Receptionist then he said No, then 11pm I asked Receptionist then he said No, until my colleague begged him to check, he found that parcel. Overall, if you only need a place for a quick stopover, this hotel can be ok.

Stayed a night before heading to Jiuzhaiguo. Hotel is right at the corner of main road (one way direction). Twice we took taxi and both cases, taxi had to make illegal and dangerous turn into the hotel. Room is very basic.

My tour leader picked Ibis Hotel Chengdu for its location. Behind the hotel are long street of eateries and shops. Once you turn to the right you can see Parkson and shopping heaven of Chengdu. Hotel rooms are moderate, clean with basic needs provided. Breakfast is simple but filling. As a traveller, quite satisfied.

The hotel rooms are small, but still bigger than some other Chinese budget hotel groups. Most importantly, the hotel rooms are clean. (Ask for a non-smoking room if you don't want smokey linen!). The rooms have a desk, wardrobe, queen bed, electrical plugs, hairdryer and all other expected amenities. The common areas are fantastic, breakfast is served at 20RMB per person for a buffet. Although catering mostly for Chinese diners, they have an array of fruit juices, toast, eggs and even coffee, which is a treat for a Chinese hotel. In the lobby they have a lounging area, a pool table, a bar and shop area, some vending machines and a tour centre. All in all I am very happy with my choice in hotel. Although public transport is a bit of a distance away, there are many taxis outside the hotel. Once you arrive here, there are business cards with the Chinese address. This definitely makes life easier. Even if you can speak mandarin, the dialect here is a bit peculiar, so best to be prepared. The hotel also offers luggage storage which is convenient!

Il "moltobuono" del mio giudizio non ha valore assoluto : E' in base al rapporto qualita' prezzo. L'hotel infatti e' modesto ma pulito ed offre colazione occidentale , non vasta di scelte , ma con il necessario : caffe' latte pane burro marmellata , affettati e altro di base oltre ovviamente a colazione cinese. Il prezzo per notte e' di circa 100 yuan ( 12 euro ) piu' 3 europer la colazione! E' una ottima economica e pulita base per escursioni nei dintorni di Chengdu'. Lo utilizzo una/due volte l'anno da 5 anni ;il mio giudizio quindi non e' occasionale.
