Great Experience in a Classical Ambience

A true taste of the old world, the hotel built in 1869, not only still stands, but delivers the classic quality with all the features of the modern necessities (I wish we didn’t need them). By that I mean, during the last renovation, all rooms have been provided with outlets of ultimate efficiency. You won’t need converters for your paraphernalia. The rooms are excellent in terms of comfort and everything else. The location is excellent, right on the main drag of Interlago. Good breakfast also. Last but not least, the staff is excellent. I need to mention Sebastian, one of the receptionists, who is very knowledgeable and has been particularly helpful. The only displeasing item is this QR code that 50% of the hotels in Switzerland have adopted. They are really annoying and, no matter how savvy you are with iPhones or androids, you’ll get frustrated. Depending how close you are to the main router, it may take a while. I still recommend the hotel without reservations.

Chosen this hotel merely due to the only Accor hotels member in town, despite I read many better hotels based on reviews in Tripadvisor and other platforms. And I did not regret my choice. Since I came with two youngster kids, so I booked for 2 rooms for 4 nights, and asked for connecting or, at least, neighbouring rooms. Upon my check in (that was very quick and smooth), the front office staff (Yusuf) informed me that my rooms have been upgraded to junior suite since the room type that I was booked not available as requested (connecting or neighbouring); and this is a real pleasant surprise as my family was very happy. I was also informed that they would provide shuttle service if only I told them before (this shuttle took us from the hotel to Interlaken Ost after checked out) Breakfast was very good despite for me there were too many cold meals. Was also grateful as the resto provide rice for my gluten free son. And the hot chocolate was one of the best, the taste and the portion of milk and chocolate were at best. Wifi was better compared with the wifi service I brought from home even though we were all using more than 5 devices simultaneously. Location wise was excellent as the hotel situated in the main street of Interlaken, only 100 m from bus stop and right between Interlaken Ost and West train stations. Almost everything within walking distance One disappointment : I ordered big/double bed for my wife and I, but unfortunately it was a twin beds with its own bedsheet and blanket. Every night I woke up since the two beds starting move apart each other, and this, for me, was a big joke. Please provide a real double bed ! My highlight : a very good hotel with very good staffs as they provide almost every info I need, such as weather in the mountain, the cheapest way to go there, and many others. Thank you

We really liked the hotel. We had a little balcony overlooking the mountain. Room had a coffee machine and was a good size. We had the buffet breakfast which was lovely. Very good location. Walking from the station and walk into the centre of town. Great stay with lovely staff.

We recently spent 2 nights in a “apartment”, for our family of 4 incl. 2 teenagers. Note that the apartments are in a different building from the hotel which was a little unusual, but very close by. It was very modern and spacious but just one bed and then a bunk bed which wasn’t ideal for our kids, although we could have used the pull out couch. Breakfast was a complete gong show, very very busy. BUT there’s a gentleman named Mehdi who worked the breakfast. He’s just outstanding, very pleasant, great sense of humor and works very hard to get you what you need. Great guy! The hotel is in a good location, short walk to the train station.

Went in a travel company group of about 25. No easy chairs in bedroom No instructions how to use coffee machine in room. Inaccessible power points and not many. No obvious electric point for kettle. Hotel enforcing 'customers' MUST stay on same table every evening although all customers wanted to rotate. Since when did hotel requirements come before customers?! We had to fill in a form the night before as to what we wanted the following night. Dinner 'service', abysmal timings. 20 mins for first course to arrive, 45+ mins for 2nd, 20 for dessert. Average time for 3 courses- 2 ½ + hours for 20 people. Apparently the kitchen is on a floor above, there is a dumb waiter / lift to transfer between floors. Very varied menu. Strange cold waffle dessert with syrupy cherries (out of a tin?!), rock hard / frozen thick waffle, only a teaspoon to eat with ..... Excellent breads at breakfast. Same buffet selection and , whilst good quality, becomes very repetitive after a few days. Menu was changed in the evening, but no local dishes. Very slow to replenish breakfast food. V good WiFi but btinternet.com not working for emails in the hotel. WiFi access only, initially, granted for 3 days. For a 7 day holiday!! We had to re-apply each time. Sebastian in reception very unfriendly / no eye contact and ignores people waiting. Maid closed window every day despite us leaving it open because of heat. Reception not interested. Shower / bath v slippery and v short shower screen so v difficult to stop water going on the drippy tiled floor. V poor maintenance / reporting/ management. Toilet door wouldn't close properly as it rubbed on the floor. Fridge door wouldn’t close properly. Never any sign of a manager. No welcome guide, places of interest etc in the room Would you recommend the hotel? Definitely not. Would you stay again? Definitely not.
