Hotel itself is very nice from outside, staff friendly. Room is very basic but clean. Towels and toilet rolls changed every day which was lovely. Bunkbed above double bed is slightly dangerous managed to smash my head on it twice so not the best layout but that's me being picky. Continental breakfast basic but adequate. I think to improve would need kettles and tea coffee in room as a bit of a pain having to go down to reception for a cup of tea. Also mini fridge would be a nice touch to keep drinks cold. Pillows were a little too soft for me needed 2 but only was given one. However brought my own from morrisons over the road. Would I return yes, as tram stop is literally 2 min walk and £5 each day pass into Edinburgh.

After a long drive from Bath, in our EV, (lots of great charging all the way there - Ionity and Gridserve which makes the journey much more enjoyable, with the breaks) we arrived at our Ibis hotel. We were able to park immediately, in front of the hotel which was great. Parking is £5.00 per 24 hours. We were greeted by two very friendly chaps at reception who were very polite and helpful. All the staff we encountered were lovely, warm, friendly and polite throughout our 2 day stay. We arrived at our room which was small but perfectly formed and absolutely immaculate. Indeed, the WHOLE hotel was immaculate. For me, this is the most important thing when staying at a hotel and the next most important thing is the bed. The bed was glorious. Beautiful, clean, so so comfy, (I did not want to leave that bed and I have a very expensive comfy bed at home!). Perfectly working TV in the corner with lots and lots of stations and loads to watch, when you have been walking around Edinburgh all day. The rooms are well insulated, you can barely hear your neighbours (if at all) so you have peace and quiet. The shower was perfect, nice and roomy, immaculate and lovely and hot! Very nice clean loo. Lovely soap provided in shower and in sink. In the morning there is a very good breakfast, tea and coffee, although we were going out for breakfast in town so didn't partake. (Regrettably, because it smelled and look lovely, croissants, fruit, yoghurt - lots of delicious fare!). The hotel is conveniently located a short walk to the tram which takes you straight into Edinburgh within a few minutes, under £4.00 for a return (we did the singles £2.00 there and £2.00 back because we pressed the wrong button ;) ) I mean you cannot beat that for value can you! The hotel is also nicely located near a big shopping centre The Gyle Shopping centre - with the fanciest M&S I have ever seen, especially the Food Hall! Also a big Morrisons there. I loved staying at this hotel, and will definitely be back and if you are visiting Edinburgh and are looking for a great value, cosy, comfy, warm, CLEAN, friendly, functional place to stay, I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Handy comfortable hotel if on a budget. The continental breakfast is a great addition and well stocked. The hotel is close to the tram stop for access to both the airport and town. Tram takes approx 20 minutes to get into the city centre. Taxis after the trams stop are about £30. The rooms are clean and comfortable but basic and compact. The toilet and shower are in the room and therefore not much privacy for those showering or going to the toilet.

I stayed here for 2 weeks. The staff was my absolute favorite. Irmantas went above and beyond for me. He was such a great help for anything I needed during my stay. Maris and Scott were so wonderful as well, So kind and friendly. I really felt at home here. I will definitely stay here again. The hotel is so clean and comfortable. They all made my visit so much better then it would have been. Thanks to all of you. Laura P.

Really close to the airport (tenner in a taxi) Was a budget hotel so not loads of the comforts but was a decent size clean room with a tv. No arguments. Wasn’t able to hang about for breakfast as was out fairly early but the bar staff the night before were very friendly
