In all our years of visiting Paris, this was our first time at an Ibis hotel (or any chain hotel) and we were very pleased with our experience. So many things impressed us: being able to check in early, the friendly and efficient staff, the room layout and large bathroom, and the wonderful free breakfast. Our top (5th) floor room faced the street and was amazingly quiet. We loved the hotel's library theme, and if we'd stayed more than one night, I'm sure we would have had drinks at the bar! The 13th arrondisement was new to us, too, and we liked being away from the tourist crowds of central Paris. The area has many lively restaurants and bars filled with locals, and we found a great Italian trattoria on Ave. de France next to the H&M store. The metro station (Line 14) was just two blocks away and very convenient, as we were headed to the Gare de Lyon the next morning. A combination of an elevator and two escalators meant that we didn't have to use stairs to get to the platform, and the Gare was only 3 metro stops away. We thought the hotel was a terrific value and will definitely stay here again!

Located at Station along the RER C & Metro line: Bibliothèque François Mitterand. If you are in the station look out for Sortie 4, its is where the lift is and the closest to the hotel. If you are on street level, walk down the street between H&M and Decathalon to get to the hotel. When we reached the venue, we are surrounded by lanes that lead us to diff restaurants. The best thing we discovered is that Rue de Tobliac takes us all the way to the Quarter Chinos!! (metro Olympiads) To add: supermarket, pharmacy etc were all within reach The hotel staff was extremely helpful at check-in. Over the course of our stay we Noticed that they take took pride in their work from the breakfast service to advising us whats best with a child and large luggage. Bring your toothbrush. Fresh towels are provided

Used this hotel as it was close to the Accord Arena. Checked in early so the hotel held my bags until the room was ready. This was fair enough. All the staff that I ever conversed with were friendly and professional - no issues there. The room was... OK. Not a lot of space but this is a given in Paris as I have experienced on previous occasions. Room cleaned to an average standard - I had to wipe a few questionable stains here and there. The shampoo/soap they provide is not very good at all thus I would highly recommend bringing your own if you can. Bed comfortable enough. I didn't use the bar downstairs but they did have a very good system for the free water and coffee at reception. The place was decorated well in the lobby and was homely to chill out in if needed. Food wise, breakfast was good but the room for eating can get very busy. Prices for soft drinks a little scandalous and found it a bit odd to pay for a luggage locker after checkout. Nothing says, "we have your money so we will no longer extend our hospitality" like paying to hold my stuff, right? On that note, I found it a little disappointing to have housekeeping knock on my door three times on the morning I was due to check out. I had my room until 1100 but they insisted on asking if I was ready to go every 30mins. Overall, if this wasn't the "budget" option for Ibis, don't think I would want to see what was! Even for Paris, you get what you pay for so I would probably only recommend for money saving purposes only.

The luggage room is secure and allows you to leave freely for as long as you wish without the risk of your luggage being lost or exchanged with another guest. The prices at the bar are those of a Parisian bar or even cheaper, you will not find anywhere in France or in England a Spritz at 4.50€. I am very sorry for the cleaning staff on the day of your departure and I have made the point with the housekeeper of the hotel, so that this will not happen again in the future. New stayed here as it was a well-priced convenient spot for the Gare de Lyon. Friendly, helpful and welcoming reception staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast was basic but all we needed with nice fruit, yoghurts, mini pastries, etc. Nice places to eat nearby down towards the Seine.
