We stayed here for one night and had booked it on the basis we knew we would be arriving late (it was after midnight in the end when we checked-in) and it was close to a bar we wanted to go and visit. Check-in would have been smooth, but I was paying for the room with Accor points and that slowed everything down (this is Accor IT at fault, not the hotel). We liked the funky bathroom layout and the bed was comfy enough. We could hear a bit of sound from the street, but if you are not on the street side of the hotel I am sure you would hear nothing. We decided not to have breakfast at the hotel, simply because we wanted to get out and about exploring.
 The hotel’s location is fine, with nothing too far away and a metro stop right outside, so you can use Berlin’s excellent underground network to take you anywhere in the city.
 An affordable option and we would stay again.

Great location, quiet rooms

Rooms are very quiet, we had two rooms with an interleading door which was great. Aircon worked well, wifi ok. Beds were comfy. Not complimentary water in the room, but free water and coffee/tea at reception. No safe in the rooms, no kettles etc. No bath, only a shower, but that was fine. A little dated, but awesome location.

My train got cancelled, therefore I called the hotel and since I booked directly through their website I was able to change my booking to a day later free of charge. On arrival I was greeted by Tina, who was very welcoming and remembered me from the phonecall a day before. The single room I stayed in was clean and bigger that expected. The only downside was no electrical outlers near the bed and no towel hooks near the shower. Breakfast had a good variety and was constantly refilled and I like the all day complimentary coffee/tea/water in the lobby. The hotel is in a good location, near several tram and metro stops and walkimg distance from a lot of restaurants and shops. Would recommend for a short city trip!

Expected me to sleep in a room that smelled of sewage!

I checked into my room, made a phone call, and then went into the bathroom, which stank of sewage. I reported it to Reception and was told that since the hotel was “fully booked” I couldn’t be moved. I said that they couldn’t expect me to sleep in a room that smelled of sewage, so the receptionist went to my room to see (or smell) the situation for himself. When he returned he spoke to the duty manager, who shook her head; he then came to me and said that they couldn’t put me in another room because I’d sat on the bed and so the room would have to be deep cleaned before it could be allocated to anyone else. The cleaning team didn’t start work until the next day so in the meantime I’d have to sleep with the window open! I repeated that I couldn’t be expected to sleep in a room that smelled of sewage. The receptionist then said that the only thing he could do was move me to another hotel. But when I said that I did indeed want to be moved, he said that it would be difficult to move me because I was on a non-flexible rate. So finally he said that he’d put me in a different room, and that when the person who’d been allocated that room tried to check in at the hotel, he would turn them away! He then took me to my new room and at that point I was offered an apology. It’s incredible that a hotel would expect someone to sleep in a room that smelled of sewage. It could have made me ill. I’ve been fortunate enough to stay in hotels, hostels, and Airbnb places all over the world and I’ve never encountered anything as bad as this.
