Fantastic place to stay, lovely apartment style accommodation with full kitchen, air conditioning which is rare, in a great position only 5 minutes from the metro, highly recommended. Nice bathroom with seperate toilet, very clean and comfortable

My family and I recently stayed at Adagio Montrouge aparthotel for a 7-day trip to Paris. However, during our 2nd day, someone entered our room and stole our personal items, including my 8 year old son's linked iPad, a new blouse from a shopping bag in the closet, and a perfume. We reported the incident the same night to the hotel and the local police, providing evidence that the stolen iPad was traced initially in our room in the afternoon and 2 hours later to the Barbes area, while we had spent whole day in Disneyland with friends. What's most concerning is that the hotel does not have security cameras on the floors, which is a basic safety measure. We expected a higher level of security, especially during a family trip. This incident left us feeling violated and disappointed with the hotel's response. Obviously, they don't know anything about innkeepers legal liability. Our holiday in Paris was meant to be enjoyable, but this incident has left a lasting negative impression on our family, with my 8 year son crying for the next 2 days and feeling insecure and stressed even on his sleep.

Great base for a Parisian visit. On Metro linge 4, a great line which cuts through the heart of the city. The Adagio is 10 mins away from the Metro, with a Boulangerie and Monoprix 5 mins away. Our studio was small but well formed, with a small kitchen (inc a microwave, stove top and dishwasher). Loved the balcony as it was warm so the airflow was very welcome. The bed folded up onto the wall and converted into a sofa which was a good use of space. There was a separate bath/shower and loo, which was nicely designed. All in all a great stay, comfortable, it met all our needs and we’d stay again. Being away from the main city hubbub suited us well.

I found this lovely hotel on the Accor website, with an excellent price and made a reservation in good faith. Two days later I received an email saying there had been an ‘unfortunate IT issue’ and my booking was to be cancelled. I emailed to say not to do so and was initially ignored. A subsequent email informed the booking had indeed been cancelled. Again I emailed and received a response that under French Law any hotel could cancel at any time. Other people I know who booked the same hotel received a similar reply. Those that has prepaid received ‘double their deposit’ as per French law, others were promised a 20% discount. Looking into this it seems that the hotel put the rooms on sale with an error pricing. I can understand mistakes can be made. However when our rooms were cancelled, they were relisted at 16 times the error pricing and a 300% mark up when compared to the same dates this year. Clearly the hotel have seen an opportunity to make more money by cancelling existing reservations and reselling at a far higher price. I have since emailed Patrick Richard, Guest Relations twice asking for resolution and have been ignored. This is appalling customer service. Customers have been treated with disdain in an attempt to get more money. This hotel cannot be trusted. They are clearly price gouging. Avoid as they may do the same to you.

The location feels very safe. Easy to navigate, however you will find that you need to catch transport to anywhere “touristy” The hotel itself was roomy, clean. Quiet. The cons. The apartments are not serviced. The 4 nights we were there we had the same towels, sheets, amenities. As frequent travellers, we found this very unusual. If this is your first stay in France, on a budget. This IS the hotel. If you’re after something a little bit “more” then this hotel may not be for you. The feel is very backpacker’esk. We were there on an off season and the hotel felt quiet and homey. All in all a worthwhile stay for a budget traveller. Bang for the your buck. Perhaps 2 nights maximum would be enough
