We spent last week at the Pullman. Pros: - excellent location. Exit hotel and walk up the road for stalls, spas, money changers, cafes, bars, restaurants. All within a couple of hundred metres. - staff. All the staff as encountered could not be more friendly and eager to please. Depa in the restaurant was particularly engaging and we had a nice chat to him. - pools. We enjoyed both the main pool and the infinity (adults) pool. We found the infinity pool to be too hot with no shade. Main pool was lovely temperature and offered shady lounges under the palm trees. - grounds. Gardens and grounds are beautiful. Well-maintained and very tropical. Cons: - restaurant. I had high expectations for the Pullman brand. Breakfast had quantity over quality. Nothing in the spread was hot, food served lukewarm at best. Omelette and poached eggs cooked to order were a highlight. We also ate a couple of meals at the hotel due to late storms making even a walk up the street difficult. Again the food was ok tase-wise, but served warm. - buffet. We were staying during Nyepi, so were locked in to eat at the hotel 3 meals that day. Only dinner on offer was a "Silent Night" buffet which I thought would be a sumptuous buffet with a lovely atmosphere. In reality it was expensive (350k), limited offering, in a ballroom with the brightest lights I have ever experienced. Rooms. We had good and bad experience with rooms. First room (Blg 1) had icy air conditioning - we had it at 23 degrees and were still shivering in the room. Anything above that temperature caused the air cond to shut down and condensation on everything! Then we lost our hot water. Maintenance tried to fix, but it kept running cold. We requested, then insisted on changing rooms, which was met with hesitation, but eventually we were upgraded to an ocean view room in Blg 3. Hot water and a much more enjoyable air cond temperature! Room was musty smelling and occasional cigarette smoke (possibly we were on a smoking floor and weren't advised). Overall, we probably wouldn't stay again as so many other options. But the location is hard to beat!

Great resturant, adults only infinity pool, staff are wonderful and location is good.

We stayed at this gorgeous hotel for 14 nights. Food- We tried all of the themed dinner buffets which were lovely. The striploin steak was mouth watering, the mash potato I could live on, sushi and many international dishes to chose from. The buffet breakfast was fantastic pleanty of options inside the dinning room and egg station made for you outside on the back verandah and a waffle, pancake, granola bowl area out the front. Make sure to ask the wonderful staff like Cahya for an iced cappacino or butterfly tea with sugar it's wonderful. Staff- the highlight of this hotel is the staff. They are freiendly and so helpful always there to greet you and go above and beyond to help. I didn't get everyones name but a special thanks to Cahya she is a super star also Astiti, Arsana, Sinta and chef Wayan who we met. Room service had to be scanned on a qr code but ordered over the phone .I wanted a cheese toastie but they didn't do them?? The prawn and Avacado was devine as was the mash potato. Pools- The infinity rooftop pool was gorgeous and clean. it is child free and the umbrellas do cover you from the sun mostly. I wish there was more shade there as it does get hot and the pool temp rises due to no shade.There is a bar at both pools but not swim up. The ground level pool has a seperate childresns pool next to the general pool which is lush with gardens and shade. We had a choice of seating but it's low season in Feb. Watching the squirrels in the tree was great. The spa- Hubby and I had 2 massages which were lovely. The staff were wonderful. We got slippers and foot watch first (the water was too hot on the second visit they didn't seem to be able to change it) we were in the same room and after we got gorgeous ginger tea and ginger biscuit and sat in the hydro pool area looking at gentle rain falling through the half open roof. So relaxing. One major negative is that the Vichy shower wasn't working (which I think has been so for a while) and we booked this hotel to have a vicchy shower massage. They said the hydro pool was broken as well. We wern't even offered to swim in it without the jets. Room-The bed is huge and although firm it was comfortable. The bathroom is gorgeous (the bath takes a while to fill) the wardrobe space is limited in the studio but the suite it is doubled. verandah is lovely to sit on and read, watch squirrels and enjoy the gardens.The aircon runs cold as condensation happens if you turn it warmer so bring a jumper if you feel the cold. It was so nice to walk into after being out in the heat. Noise- now Bali is noisy, the fireworks at night from the beach about 9pm, traffic and beer buses with noisy tourists. We heard the fireworks but no traffic maybe a dog. They play outside movies for familys which I thought was too loud and when they have private functions it was noisy which was 3 out of 14 nights. Only one was too noisy. Hotel building noise was going on during our stay when I rang to complain they showed us other rooms and happily changed us so I was very happy with the service there. Overall- I really liked staying here, I felt safe, relaxed, pampered and very special. The daily 2pm rain (feb-march monsoon season) didn't even matter as everything was undercover and accessible. Thanks Pullman for a great stay.

Nightmare of a stay

I chose the Pullman to stay over Nyepi as I had stayed in many Accor hotels and this is of the higher end of their brands. I have been to Bali many times and this was one of the worst stays I've had. Prior to my stay I had emailed the Pullman multiple times to ask what arrangements they had for Nyepi, didn't get a reply for ages and when I did all they sent was what was served during buffet breakfast. There was nothing on their website explaining anything. Upon check in, I was advised room service is available during Nyepi until 4:30pm. I was given room 3228 and the room stunk of sewage and mould. I asked the bell boy to get housekeeping to fix the problem whilst I went to lunch. After returning a few hours later, nothing was done, I called housekeeping. No one came. I then called reception asking to be moved, radio silence. I ended up emailing and whatsapp the Res team until finally someone turned up with an air freshener! I asked to be moved again. Finally a Duty Manager called and moved me to room 2234, much better but mould sewage smell still present. (I noticed when I was walking around the hotel the smell was everywhere). Was told that NO room service available during Nyepi (contrary to what I was told at check in) then when I asked again, they clarified and said yes available. I am not sure if they were understaffed due to Nyepi approaching or had no idea how to run a hotel. I was aware during Nyepi that no housekeeping would be done, so the day after Nyepi I put my 'housekeeping' light on at 9:30am for bins to be emptied and water to be provided. I came back to my room at 2pm and housekeeping was not done, the phone in my room did not work so once again I resorted to whatsapp and emailing. When the housekeeping guy turned up to bring water he said 'he didn't see the light on' which was on from 9:30am. I do have some positive feedback - the gym was well equipped and I booked a spa treatment upon check out which was amazing. Shame the spa staff service and efficiency did not mirror the experience I had with the rest of the hotel. Overall I couldn't wait to leave the Pullman and asked that my feedback be shared to their GM when asked during check out.

Tresna Artila is a wonderful pool/bar attendant, very friendly and keeps the drinks flowing. Resort has lovely facilities, pools are lovely especially at sunset! Although beds are a bit hard and room smells a little musty with the humidity. Staff try hard to please

Great location. A young group of staff that is always smiling and helpful, especially Jun at the front desk. The infinity pool is a good place to read and enjoy the sunshine if you don’t want to go to the Legian beach - which is 20 meters away. Honestly, the plastic waste situation on the beach, especially in low tide times, is very worrying. The Tjakra7 spa made my day - one of the best that i have ever had. Must try.
