Great hotel for a city break in Aachen

The room was spacious and very clean. Some of the decor is a little dated but aside from that it was an excellent hotel. The breakfast was very good with lots of different food items to choose from. The staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel is opposite the bus station and about 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral.

Already the Check in was very welcoming. We received all the necessary information at once and were warmly welcomed. Our double room was well maintained, spacious (2 adults+2 kids) and very clean. Breakfast was great. We were greeted personally by name, which is a good start for the day. The choice of food is overwhelming, besides eggs, beans, bacon, etc. they even offer a good choice of vegan food and healthy choices. We felt very welcome here, and can highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, great location, nice setting and very easy to access the city..Clean rooms and beds and other furniture in the room were very comfy. Shower excellent. Friendly reception staff. Close to the cathedral, the city center, 14 min walking distance to the spa center. A bit pricey options for breakfast and dinner

We were a bit worried after reading the reviews about the hotel being a bit dated. While that was true, the place was fine for a short stay as it did come with the basic creature comforts and at the price we paid, felt it was a great value for money compared to the other option in the neighborhood LOCATION: Located on the fringe of the old town, but just a quick 10-minute walk away from the main attractions. DINE + DRINK: Lobby level restaurant and bar looked decent, but we didn't have a chance to try their food ROOM: We stayed in Room 314, so this review is based on that; SIZE: A bit compact, but spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Random view of the cityscape from a smaller window; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good Spa quality toiletries by RITUALS brand! FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a few cardio machines. But unlike most people’s complaints about the gym, I did find it ok enough for a quick workout. Probably the negative reviewers didn't have the chance to spot the Dumbells that were hidden inside of a compact table! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment primarily in GERMAN and very few options in English (primarily News and music!

We stayed for one night whilst driving through Europe ( 2 adults + children) The hotel is situated right in the centre, but very easy to find and with plently of parking right below the hotel ( note that parking for 1 day is €14, it's not included in the price) The hotel itself is excellent, staff polite and helpful and the rooms were spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfy, although pillows were very small and felt cheap, luckily we always travel with our own pillows. The room itself was quite small, but comfortable enough for 1 night and the breakfast in the morning was the best we've had at any of our previous hotels. The only thing I didn't like was location, we've never been to Aachen, so we were keen to venture out, as we stayed on Friday night but when we went out to find somewhere to eat, the area didn't feel safe at all, even during daylight. In the end we just bought some food in local Rewe market and went straight back to the hotel. We liked the hotel itself, so if you are just passing through, it's a great place to stop for the night.
