This is not a top of the range Novotel but it is perfectly adequate. It is clean and offers most of what you would want without luxury. It is around 10 minutes walk from the Messe conference centre. There is not much around this hotel and it is around 30 minutes walk to downtown. The hotel has a restaurant which is OK but not at all busy considering the size of the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Would I stay again? Yes if I was attending a meeting at the Messe centre and did not want to pay the Marriott prices.

There's a first time for everything. At the Novotel Frankfurt, when you have a confirmed reservation, they will tell you yes, you have a reservation, but no, you can't stay here because other people paid in advance, but your reservation didn't require you to pay in advance. Maybe also you called earlier in the day to confirm your reservation, and they said no problem. Don't worry though if this happens to you, they will book you into a different hotel. It's okay because the other hotel is only two minutes away. Except they meant it is twenty minutes away and nowhere near where you need to stay, and when you try to check in, no one is there.

Hello Rob L, I am very sorry to hear that something went wrong during your stay with us. It is true that we had to move some guests out due to a system error, which we more than regret. This is also not what our guests can usually expect from us. I also understand the upset caused by such a last-minute change of plans and your displeasure. In your case, we have transferred your booking to the Adagio Apart Hotel. This offers the same standards as our hotel and is about 750m and 10 minutes walk away (2 minutes by car). It is located exactly opposite the main entrance to the trade fair, which is why we chose it as the best possible alternative for you due to your expected stay at the trade fair. We transferred your luggage to the other hotel and also offered you a cab transfer, which you did not use. It would have been possible for you to return to our hotel after the first night, but we did not offer this initially due to the additional effort for you. After you contacted us again on the 3rd day of your stay and complained about the circumstances of your accommodation, we offered you a return to our hotel, which you declined. I can only express my regret once again about this incident. We will do everything we can in future to avoid further system errors of this kind. They let us into our room at 9am which was very much appreciated after a 24 hour flight. However hotel was tired. Close to tram station straight to city in 10 mins. Staff good. No washing facilities which seems fairly standard in Europe. Supermarket not far away.

Location was dire,no sense of the city,very depressing area. Bedrooms really need to be updated,the bathroom was really modern, Staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed 6 hrs,got no refund as I was told I booked through a separate company. Could not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It is true that you booked the hotel through a third party, probably a travel agent or travel website. This third party is the contractual partner to whom you paid. Consequently, they are also the only point of contact for refunds. I am sorry that we had no opportunity to do anything about this, even if we would have liked to. I am sorry that you did not like the location of our hotel, right on the edge of the extremely busy university district of Bockenheim. I can only recommend that you visit the hotel website (in our case: https://all.accor.com/1049). The location is clearly recognisable there, also by means of a map. You are also welcome to call us before booking and ask about our location. We have no interest in deceiving our guests and will do our utmost to explain exactly what you can expect from us. You also have the option of booking a room directly on our website or by telephone and choosing a cancellable rate. This is not only much more flexible, but usually also cheaper than using a travel agent. I can only emphasise once again that I am sorry that your stay with us did not work out. invited to a meeting in Frankfurt, I was offered this hotel. It wasn't my choice, but I didn't question it through the Accor seal, which always refers to comfortable stays. The location is not privileged in every sense: whether traveling for work or pleasure. Neighboring the train line, those who stay with a window facing the street will feel, even with an anti-noise window, the noise of the wagons during the day. Large, simple, clean apartments, but without great comforts. An exceptional highlight is breakfast, which is extremely complete with delicious delicacies.
