Göteborg is really into international ambiances. In cafés, you hear every language being spoken during a fika (food break). At night, the trendy bars along the Avenyn contrast with the intimacy of Victoria Passage and darts games in the pubs. Lots of diversity in clubs, too, with jazz at Nefertiti and explosive rock at Dojan.

Discover the "after work"! After 7pm on Friday nights, buy a drink and get your meal free. There's only one dish on the menu, e.g. chili or paella, but no limit on servings.
Universal meeting place
The brand-new Museum of World Culture organizes cultural evenings. These events generally end early, but stick with the group and continue the evening at a bar in town.
