• Welcome

    - Begin your tour of the city by visiting the place du Capitole, the beating heart of a very lively city.

    - Laze around on the banks of the Garonne River, on the barges of the canal du Midi, or in one of the city’s 160 parks and gardens (including the Jardin des Plantes, and the Jardin Japonais).

    - Known for its effervescent atmosphere on rugby game nights, and also for being the country’s third student city, Toulouse is also a gastronomic capital; be sure to try out the local foie gras, cassoulet, and confit de canard…

  • See, visit, discover…

Admire the beautiful Saint-Sernin basilica, the most expansive Romanesque edifice in Western Europe.

Explore the Cité de l’Espace to relive the thrilling history of man’s conquest of space and France’s contribution to this movement.

Visit the Augustin Museum for fine-arts, the Abattoirs Museum for modern and contemporary art, and the Georges Labit museum for everything to do with Egyptian and Asian art.

  • Tips from Accorhotels.com

    - When to visit?
With on average 2 000 hours of sunshine per year, there is little chance you will be visiting the city without needing sunscreen… With the Rio Loco music Festival in June, Siestes Electroniques in July and the Occitania Festival in October, there is always a great event just around the corner!

    - How to get around?
The metro lines, along with the Tisséo bus network, make it easy to get around during the day. Otherwise there are regular taxis, but also specialised tourist taxis that will get you to all the major monuments.

    - Good deals:
There are six leisure centres to keep you busy in and around Toulouse: the Pech David centre and that on the île du Ramiar are the most popular, but the others are spread throughout the city: they make for great walks and sport activities, or relaxing afternoons in the sunshine.
