• Welcome

    - From the Ledge, near the ruins of the Bock Chateau, you can admire the cityscape, the Grund district, the Adolph bridge and the surrounding countryside.

    - Be sure to take in the faceade of the Ducal palace, and wander the pedestrian zones of the city.

    - Set yourself up at a café terrace on a crowded square to enjoy the lively ambiance, such as the Armes square, or you can explore the parks such that designed by Edouard André (a famed landscape artist).

  • See, visit, discover…

Explore the casemates, the defensive underground network that was established in wartime.

Take a trip to the Luxemburg casino, the Forum d’Art Contemporain, and of course the Grand-Duc Jean Modern Art Museum to get your share of beautiful artwork.

Take in the architectural variety that is characteristic of this city: the Philharmonic Centre, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the ultra-modern Kirchberg plateau…

  • Tips from Accorhotels.com

    - When to visit?
Late August and early September are great times to visit, thanks to the Scheberfouer Fun Fair (which has been a local institution since the 14th century). Otherwise, come from late November to early January to experience the Christmas spirit and the Winterlights.

    - How to get around?
Numerous buses run throughout the city, and a nocturnal bus service will get you around after dark. For shoppers, the Shopping Bus will take you from the pedestrian shopping zones to the parking lots.

    - Good deals:
From Mid-June to Mid-September the city offers its inhabitants and visitors the Kinnekswiss: a huge summer programme of activities and events in the city-centre.
