- When to visit?
September is a great time to visit, as you can catch the grand second-hand market, but there is also the Christmas market in late December and the Wazemmes Carnival in March.
- How to get around?
There are two metro lines and two tramway lines, 60 bus lines and over a hundred taxis circulating in Lille. If you would rather be an independent traveller, you can rent a Transpole bicycle, a motorised e-bike, or even a Segway!

The Palais des Beaux-Arts along with the musée de l’Hospice Comtesse are free on the first Sunday of every month.
