• Welcome

In the Boca district you can relax and admire the colourful houses, or take a walk to the Botanical Gardens or the Tres de Febrero de Palermo Park for a relaxing time in the sun.

Try out the local mate by sipping through a bombilla (a straw that filters out the pulp) and try out the deliciously sweet dulce de leche (a milk-based sweet spread).

Calle Florida, with its chic boutiques such as the Pacifico Mall, brings together avid shoppers and architecture-enthusiasts.

  • See, visit, discover…

Soak up the real soul of Buenos Aires on the plaza de Mayo and admire the Colon theatre, one of the world’s most respected opera houses.

Admire the typically South-American Baroque style of the Nuestra Senora church, and the funeral art in the nearby Recoleta cemetery.

One of the reasons this city is so lively is its many bars and cafés… Order a hot chocolate in the Art Deco-style Tortoni café, or take a tango lesson at the Confiteria Ideal.

  • Tips from Accorhotels.com

    - When to visit?
Come in August to catch the International Tango Festival. Otherwise come in spring (September to October) and autumn (March to May) to enjoy the pleasant weather.

    - How to get around?
Metro, bus and tramway lines get you across the city throughout the day, and by nightfall you can get around with taxis (they are black with yellow roofs).

    - Good deals:
The volunteers of the Cicerones association will give you guided tours of the city, entirely free of charge, which have a more authentic feel than your average bus or hotel tour group…
