To relax and meet new people
Impossible travel to Rio de Janeiro and not book at least one day to enjoy the beaches of Rio. Colored flags indicate the right spot for the LGBT audience: the Posto 9, in Ipanema. "That's where the guys can go to be happy, make new friends, drink a caipirinha in the sand and relax," says Daniel. On the Copacabana beach, the Rainbow kiosk is a favorite. But not only the beaches deserve prominence among the gay-friendly spaces in the city: "São Salvador Square, in Flamengo, is also perfect for enjoying the late afternoon and meeting new people," he says.
To flirt and get warmed up
LGBT point of the city, the street Farme de Amoedo has great part of the gay bars of Rio de Janeiro. It’s there that gringos and Cariocas gather to start the night in the mood. "If you're looking for a place to have good drinks and flirt, Tô Nem Aí does the job," says Daniel. Those who prefer a lower budget, but as lively, will like to know the bars of the street Voluntários da Pátria, Baixa Botafogo. "It's a great call for a more informal warm-up, with beer and snacks," he says. "Another good option there is the Comuna bar. The place attracts a more funky crowd and is famous for the great hamburgers. "
To dance all night long
There are many options for gay nightclubs in Rio, but Daniel indicates the best ones for each profile. "Fans of Brazilian music will love the Treta party, every Wednesday at Galeria Café, one of the city's most traditional LGBT venues," he says. "For the alternative guys that like to boil, the House Nem and the Eden are excellent options". At the Center, both promote parties that support and encourage diversity. "If you are still in doubt, go to Fosfobox. The atmosphere is incredible, the crowd is young and the fun is guaranteed. " The small house in Copacabana became popular in the city with the parties of pop, funk and hip hop.
