Filthy kettle and poor manager responce

Stayed one night, went to make a coffee in the am, opened the lid a saw a un recognisable black gunk in the kettle, gave up on the idea of a coffee and departed the room, on check out mentioned to the staff i was unable to use the kettle and response , "we are sorry, thanks for letting us know" Awful, just awful

After following up with our housekeeping team, I was informed that checking the kettle was missed during the room inspection, and that indeed, it was not in a suitable condition for a newly arriving guest. Staff were very welcoming, very professional and at the same time friendly. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Evening meal and breakfast were both very enjoyable and well priced. My 3rd stay and as always everyone and everything could not be faulted.
