We recently stayed for 3 nights to attend the WOW show. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left nothing was too much trouble. Extremely polite and friendly staff - always greeted with a smile and even remembered our names. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spacious and beautifully furnished - an excellent place to stay and great value for money. A++++

From the moment the cab pulled up outside of our hotel in Wellington we went WOW, the décor was stunning, the fragrant flowers in the foyer took you to another place, the staff so friendly and with all of this grandeur we felt comfortable and like we had just come home. We loved the Green Room Bar and lovely and informative French bartender, enjoyed the recommended meal in the restaurant and floated on a cloud in our beautiful bed. Perfectly located with stunning views, highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely Hotel ,great service ,wonderful food.Right in the hub of Wellington .The hotel only has paid parking or two hour on street. Which they moved our car while we were away for the day to there parking overnight for free and didn't charge us any fee for service top notch!!
Bonjour shopqueen71, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with some feedback and share your recent Sofitel Wellington experience with the travelling public. We are delighted to read that your stay was "top class". It is particularly pleasing to read that the team used their initiative to help look after your car. All the very best until we meet again. Kind regards, Stephen Gould General Manager
With flights cancelled I stayed for one night on the sixth floor. Hotel had been open for 5 days so everything was sparkly and new. $40 for car parking on top of room rate is not well advertised! - I was lucky and found parking on the street. Being on the sixth floor meant reduced water pressure for the 'rain shower'. The lights in the room need the key card to be put in the main control slot - so do this with the main door open so that you can find the 'slot' - or take a torch! Furnishings are luxurious - and once I'd moved all the cushions off the bed (and there are a lot of cushions!) and got the AC running, it was a great night's sleep.
Bonjour phil_millership, Thank you for staying at Sofitel Wellington on our 5th day after opening! I appreciate your positive comments about the hotels luxurious furnishings and I am also pleased you had a good night's sleep in our signature Sofitel MyBed. Clearly you were disappointing with the car parking fee and I am sorry if this came as a surprise. We absolutely have no intention of misleading guests. Inner city parking, like in most major cities, is limited in Wellington and as an alternative to street parking we have secure, reserved parks available in the dedicated parking building opposite us. This is at a flat fee that can be added to your guest account. Short term parking is also available in the same building, payable via their electronic system with the costs varying depending on the time parked. Thank you again for the feedback and I do hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards, Stephen Gould General Manager Email: Stephen.Gould@Sofitel.com
