Mercure Milton Keynes Abbey Hill: 5.0 out of 5 stars "SHORT AND PLEASANT STAY"

7th February 2013, s_pilling, Bolton, United Kingdom

We have stayed in this hotel before it was refurbished and had a very enjoyable stay, now with the new furnishings the rooms are very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a very convenient location with some of the rooms overlooking the golf course. Would stay here again. Mr&Mrs S.Pilling Bolton Lancs

Management responseThank you for taking the time to share your opinions, we are delighted that you found everything to your liking and that we met your expectations on every level. The hotels position near the golf course does provide a location very near the City but in a countryside style setting with minimal noise that is generally tranquil and peaceful, a fact noted by many of our guests. We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you again soon and thank yu again for your very kind words of praise for the team.

Mercure Milton Keynes Abbey Hill: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A good find"

21st January 2013, London, United Kingdom

The hotel only opened as a Mercure hotel this week. Although there was still a lot of building work going on the staff were very welcoming and the work did not disrupt my stay. Very comfortable room, clean and warm (in very cold weather). One suggestion for improvement is that staff could have explained the facilitites on arrival - breakfast times, restaurant times and location etc.

Management responseThank you for your comments; I am delighted to see that you generally enjoyed your stay with us scoring all aspects of your stay well. Your comments regarding the welcoming staff and the comfortable, clean, warm room are also a great positive. The only real visible building works on-going are within one set of public toilets and this will be finished by the end of January at latest, otherwise the refurbishment program generally takes in just guest rooms tucked away from sight. It is pleasing to note that the on-going works did not impact on your stay - this is certainly our chief aim.Your suggestion regarding check-in and communication of facilities and times is quite right, in all honesty I can only surmise that the team member involved may have been distracted from this usual efficiency by the fact that we have also had to go live with a new computer system which will take a little while to get used to.Thank you again, we hope you will stay with us again soon.
